Een eeuwige vlam brandt dag en nacht om de dappere soldaten te herdenken die hun leven hebben verloren in de India-Pakistaanse oorlog van 1971.
Rijd rond voor foto's bij The Rashtrapati Bhawan, de? Viceroy's House voor de onafhankelijkheid. De pracht van de Rashtrapati Bhavan is multidimensionaal. het enorme herenhuis en de architectuur zijn adembenemend. Er zijn maar weinig officiële woongebouwen van het staatshoofd in de wereld die qua omvang, uitgestrektheid en pracht kunnen tippen aan de Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Rijd rond voor foto's in The Parliament House is ontworpen door de Britse architect Edwin Lutyens en Herbert Baker. Het parlement herbergt de Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha en een bibliotheekzaal. waar een land van 1,3 miljard mensen wordt bestuurd. De regering van de grootste democratie ter wereld zit in het parlementsgebouw.
Het graf van Humayun, een werelderfgoed en de laatste rustplaats van de tweede Mughal-keizer Humayun. Het is het eerste tuingraf op het Indiase subcontinent en werd in 1565 gebouwd in opdracht van Humayun's belangrijkste gemalin, keizerin Bega Begum. Het ontwerp van het graf van Humayun is een typische Mughal-architectuur met Perzische invloeden.
Bezoek ten slotte Qutub Minar, een werelderfgoed. De hoge minaret werd in 1192 gebouwd door Qutab-ud-din Aibak. Een prachtig voorbeeld van Indo-islamitische Afghaanse architectuur en heeft de tand des tijds indrukwekkend overleefd. Dit geweldige meesterwerk wordt omgeven door weelderige groene tuinen. Qutub Minar is de favoriete bestemming van toeristen. Het is een van de meest bezochte monumenten van India. Na uw rondleiding wordt u teruggebracht naar het hotel. Our guide was absolutely amazing — fun, charismatic, and truly unforgettable. He even knows how to imitate a bird, and does it incredibly well! He speaks multiple languages, which made the experience even more impressive. At one point, he even told me about the Baby Taj Mahal in French — that was such a cool moment. On top of that, he’s a great organizer and manager. He always found the best transportation options and built routes perfectly tailored to our requests, making everything smooth and stress-free. Honestly, one of the best guides I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Vivek and our driver (whose name was long and I forgot, I apologize) were absolutely exceptional hosts on my one-day stopover in New Delhi. We spoke beforehand to sort out some logistics and to see if I favored any stops or had any specific plans, and he met me the morning I arrived in the hotel lobby to start our day. Everything was planned and my two replacement sights were no problem at all to fit in, so off we went. A mix of quick photo stops and longer walking mini-tours, and always with relevant information flowing, but what I enjoyed most is that Vivek will adapt to the situation as needed. Case in point: 1) I prefer more interactive/chatting tours and less "cold data" and he was very good at keeping the tour lively and fun. 2) My stomach started seriously acting up on me during the day (unfortunately before the lunch stop we made, which looked delicious), and he and our driver started pacing the tour to allow me to rest in the air conditioned car for longer...but after another couple of stops I took their advice about going to a pharmacy -- of course they found one quickly and helped me get what I need -- and then even drove me as far as you could go in the archeological park which was going to be my last and favorite stop, so I wouldn't have to walk on wobbly legs. I whole-heartedly recommend this tour and Vivek especially, and will be back one day to complete what I missed.

My tour guide was helpful and knowledgeable. He was quite flexible to our requests to see some extra places which were not mentioned in the itinerary. The car was perfect, and the driver was really really helpful, and drove us safely throughout the tour.

The driver was on time for our pick up and he expertly navigated through the busy roads in Delhi. The tour guide also gave us lots of information on places to visit according to the tour itinerary. The car was quite clean, and sanitizers, & face masks were provided in the car. Delhi has so much to offer. We highly recommend this tour.
