Privérondleiding Bezoek: Delhi: Delhi Jama moskee, Qutub Minar, Lotus-tempel, Humayun's tombe, India gate, President house, Chandni Chowk bazaar Delhi de nationale hoofdstad en het grondgebied van de Unie van India en ongetwijfeld wordt beschouwd als het hart van de natie. De hoofdstad is verdeeld in twee delen die in de volksmond bekend staan als Purani Delhi of Old Delhi en New Delhi. Old Delhi is populair vanwege zijn eeuwenoude cultuur en monumenten, samen met zijn overvolle gastronomische steegjes, zijn verrijkte cultuur en erfgoed maken deze stad overal populair. De stad herbergt enkele beroemde historische monumenten en ontwikkelt zich met het verstrijken van de tijd. De invloed van enkele van de meest historisch interessante mengelingen van religies samen met religieuze diversiteit is te zien in de stad samen met de culturele impact van de Mughal, de oude Indiër en de Britten.

Na het ontbijt ontmoet je je lokale chauffeur en lokale tourexpert in de lobby van je hotel en begin je een stadstour van een hele dag door Delhi. Kom aan bij de Jama-moskee, die tussen 1644 en 1656 door Mughal-keizer Shah Jahan werd gebouwd. De bouwkosten bedragen 1 miljoen roepies. Het werd gebouwd door meer dan 5000 arbeiders. Het is een van de grootste moskeeën in India. Bezoek later de Chandani Chowk-bazaar, het is een straat in Delhi die bekend staat om zijn kruidenierswinkel en Azië's grootste groothandelsmarkt voor specerijen die alle koning van specerijen, noten, kruiden en voedselproducten zoals rijst en thee verkoopt. Werkt sinds de 17e eeuw.
Bezoek nu India Gate, die wordt gerekend tot de grootste oorlogsmonumenten in India. Gelegen in het centrum van New Delhi, werd het gebouwd door Edwin Lutyens in 1921. Het herdenkt de leden van het voormalige Brits-Indische leger. Later rijdt u door het presidentiële huis, ook wel bekend als Rashtrapati Bhavan (presidentshuis), voorheen bekend als Viceroy's House, het officiële huis van de president van India, gelegen aan het westelijke uiteinde van het Raj-pad in New Delhi, India.
Nu ga je het graf van Humayun bezoeken, het graf van Humayun is het graf van de Mughal-keizer Humayun in Delhi, India. Het graf werd in 1569-1570 gebouwd in opdracht van Humayun's eerste vrouw en oppergemalin, keizerin Biga Begum. Na het voltooien van uw bezoek aan Hamayun Tomb, wordt u naar een van de beste restaurants van Delhi gebracht om uw Indiase lunchbuffet te nuttigen. Lunch is niet inbegrepen in onze tourprijs en u betaalt er direct voor.
Later bezoek je Qutub Minar. De rode en gebufferde standsteen is de hoogste toren in India. Qutbu'd-Din Aibak legde de basis van Minar in AD 1199 voor het gebruik van de mu'azzin (krijger) om oproepen voor gebed te doen.
Nu ga je de Lotus Tempel bezoeken, in het centrum van de stad staat een Bahai Huis van Aanbidding dat in december 1986 werd ingewijd en $ 10 miljoen kostte. Het staat bekend om zijn bloemachtige vorm en is een prominente attractie in de stad geworden. Na een bezoek aan de Lotus-tempel wordt u bij het ophalen teruggebracht naar het punt.

Nikhil was an excellent guide and host. He is knowledgeable and informative. We also had a lot fun looking around Old Delhi with him. Like you will find generally with these kinds of tours they take you to places to buy from associates and it can add up quickly, so don’t be afraid to say ‘no’. Products were good though. I would recommend this tour. Great driver as well with Manoj.

Spent the day exploring Delhi and Chandi Chowk with tour guide Nawin and driver Raj! They both took care of everything from start to finish so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Nawin was extremely knowledgeable and was able to tell me so many facts about the places we visited which included Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Jama Mosque, and Humayun’s Tomb. I truly had a great day seeing new sights and am grateful for both Nawin and Raj for their time! I highly recommend working with them both if you’re visiting Delhi!
Great tour through New and Old Delhi. My tour guide and driver were super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The Old Delhi part was a cool experience as we walked and took an auto through the narrow winding streets. The main markets were closed on Sunday (if you want to see the spice markets definitely take the tour any day but Sunday), but the streets were still busy with informal and colorful markets. In New Delhi we saw many of the large attractions and were able to skip the big lines as foreigners. The tour was super flexible and tailored for my interests.
This day long tour of Old and New Delhi on 17 Mar 24, was excellent and struck just the right balance between sharing detailed historical knowledge and explaining life in present day India. We see our guide Nick as a friend and hopefully he will keep his promise to come visit us in Newcastle Upon Tyne sometime. We highly recommend this tour guide service. David & Jane Miller.

We had a wonderful day with our guide Manu and driver Raj touring both the Old and New Delhi. Everything worked well with the logistics, from the pick up at the hotel, and morning rickshaw ride through the old city, and it continued throughout the rest if the day. They made accommodations on our request, and tailored the tour cor us on the fly. In particular, we really appreciated that they respected our request not to visit any stores or factory outlets, since we made it clear from the beginning that we are not looking to buying anything, and want to spend the precious time we have on more genuine experiences. Manu is a good and engaging guide, and excellent photographer too, so we leave with a lot of great memories, both in our hearts and on our phone. Thanks, Jojen & Peter
