Deze tour is alleen privé voor jou en deze is voor jou gepersonaliseerd! Het is inclusief vervoer en een gids + chauffeur. Wij halen u op en zetten u af bij uw hotel of adres. Tijdens deze ervaring in het centrum van de hoofdstad van de Mexicaanse natie zul je de geschiedenis van de stichting van Mexico-stad (Tenochtitlán) en het koloniale tijdperk in het Spaans kennen. We bezoeken de meest iconische gebouwen uit de XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX, XX eeuw in de binnenstad, waaronder: het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten, de kathedraal, de overblijfselen van de belangrijkste piramide van Mexica, de Latino-toren, het Nationaal Paleis, enz. .

(Buitenkant) We zullen de overblijfselen zien van het belangrijkste gebouw van het Mexica-imperium (Tenochtitlán) vóór de Spaanse aankomst in 1519. Hier vinden we schaalmodellen over de prehispanic Tenochtitlán.
We bezoeken de hoofdkerk van Mexico en het Werelderfgoed van UNESCO. Dit is het rooms-katholieke aartsbisdom van Mexico. Het werd gebouwd op het voormalige heilige gebied van de Azteken, vlakbij de Templo Mayor. We bezoeken het prachtige interieur waar u de 16 kapellen en het hoofdaltaar zult zien.
We zullen een kleine wandeling maken rond het centrale plein genaamd Zocalo, waar u onze enorme nationale vlag aan de mast in het midden van de Zocalo zult zien wapperen. Deze wordt elke dag om 6.00 uur door een groep soldaten tijdens een kleine officiële ceremonie geplaatst en elke dag om 18.00 uur verwijderd. We bezoeken de hoofdlobby van de metro, waar u 3 schaalmodellen ziet over ons centrale plein in 3 verschillende eeuwen: 1521, 1824 en 1900. Ook bezoeken we ons monument gemaakt met brons over de stichting van Tenochtitlán.
Op deze site zullen we de site kennen waar de overblijfselen van Hernán Cortés worden bewaard (de belangrijkste Spaanse verovering). Je kent de plek waar traditiegetrouw de ontmoeting plaatsvond tussen de 2 rassen: de Azteken en de Spanjaarden. Deze plaats wordt gemarkeerd door een tegelmuurschildering met de afbeelding van Moctezuma die Hernán Cortés ontmoet. Hiervoor zul je een groot hoofd van Quetzalcoatl kennen, gemaakt van steen uit de pre-Spaanse tijd, dat nu deel uitmaakt van de hoek in het museum van Mexico-stad.
We gaan door Madero Street lopen die van de zócalo naar het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten loopt. Hier ken je enkele belangrijke gebouwen zoals de eerste bioscoop, het paleis van de eerste Mexicaanse keizer, het Tegelhuis, de Latino-toren, enz.
We bezoeken dit iconische gebouw dat sinds 1934 volledig uit marmer is gemaakt. We bezoeken de lobby gemaakt met rood marmer en je kunt prachtige foto's maken. Binnen kun je de winkel bezoeken en souvenirs kopen.
Je kent dit emblematische en grote park naast het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten, dat enkele monumenten en fonteinen bevat.

The pick up and return to our VRBO was great. If it's sunny, bring a hat or umbrella. Wear comfortable walking shoes and layered clothes if it is cool in the morning. Our guide, Andrea, was super knowledgeable and detailed. We are glad we had her as our guide.

The tour was perfectly organized - pick up and transfer - perfect! Tour guide was very boring and his English was pretty poor. I consider it waste of money. I was in Mexico City before and had tours around the town. So far this one was the worst.
Thank you for your review. We regret that you did not enjoy the tour with guide Victor. His knowledge of Mexican history is truly extensive, but we will certainly work on his dynamism and attitude for a more enjoyable tour.
Roberto was friendly but was not able to provide much information on the history of the city or of the sites we visited. I am not sure if this is because he was not proficient enough in English, or if because he didn’t have enough knowledge (or both). The actual walking tour was only 1.5 hours long because of this. We were very disappointed.

The tour guide, Diego, was really great, he deserves five stars on his own. However, the company seemed very new at this, and was not good to deal with. My tour was on Christmas Eve, and they asked if I wanted to purchase extra time and entry tickets to go into different locations, so I said yes, and then when the tour guide arrived, he let me know that most things were closed early because of the holiday, and that I wouldn’t be able to go into all the places. I said that was fine as long as I got a refund of the money, which he assured me would be no problem, however, while the company said they would give me a refund, they said they were out of money right now, and would have to give it to me when they had more in. It wasn’t until I threatened to make a complaint with Viator that they had the money back to me within a few hours. It’s unfortunate that I can’t give a higher rating for the tour guide, but I would recommend not booking with this company.

Great tour to understand fundamental history of the city. Our tour guide was great. Knowledgeable and answered all questions and gave details. The only thing and not tour fault the cathedral and ruin were blocked by Government for protest.and zocalo was full of market stands that took away the feel of what this site was all about. .
