Privérondleiding door Istanbul is een uitstekende gelegenheid voor mensen die beperkte tijd hebben om de stad in het algemeen te begrijpen met de belangrijkste hoogtepunten. Istanbul is in één oogopslag een enorme stad gelegen op zowel Europa als Azië. Daarom is het niet gemakkelijk om de stad in een dag te verkennen en te begrijpen. Dat is de stad waar 1700 jaar lang de hoofdstad van grote rijken was geweest. Zo kunnen we zeggen; het is de stad van mysterie met indrukwekkende architectonische paleizen, kerken, moskeeën, synagogen, souks en vele andere dingen. Onze lokale gidsen zijn zeer ervaren en goed geïnformeerd over Istanbul en Turkije. We vertellen onze gasten om te stoppen met toerist te zijn en Istanbul te verkennen als een local met onze gidsen. Snelheid van de tour, details van informatie, waar te bezoeken zijn allemaal beslist door onze gasten op tijd van beschikbaarheid. P.S. Het is rolstoeltoegankelijk gebied. Maar als je rolstoel moet gebruiken, moet je bij iemand zijn die je rolstoel kan duwen. Onze gidsen zijn niet goed uitgerust om elke keer uw rolstoel te duwen.

Tweede halte is het Hagia Sophia sight museum. Het werd gebouwd als grootste Basilica Church van de wereld in de 6e eeuw en omgebouwd tot een moskee in de 15e eeuw. In 1936 werd het op besluit van Atatürk omgebouwd tot museum. Maar het werd in 2020 weer omgebouwd tot moskee. Hagia Sophia Museum staat op de lijst van UNESCO als Werelderfgoed. Hagia Sophia is een zeer indrukwekkende architectuur uit de vroege Byzantijnse periode. Main Gallery wordt alleen gebruikt als moskee voor gebeden. Upper Gallery is geopend voor bezoekers met Entree 25EURO per persoon.
• Topkapı Paleis met Harem: Na de ontmoeting met uw gids starten we vanaf het Topkapi Paleis. Schatkamer, Heilige Relikwieën, Paviljoens in derde binnentuin, Keukens, Audience Hall (Privékantoor van Sultan), Ambassadeur Hall van Topkapi Palace zijn de belangrijkste plaatsen die je daar moet zien. Ook Harem is in Topkapi Palace ook waar moet worden bezocht op dezelfde dag als de gast geïnteresseerd is om te bezoeken. Het duurt tijd (min 2-3 uur) om hele paleis te bezoeken. Toegangsprijs is 53EURO (2000TL) per persoon. Kinderen jonger dan 12 jaar zijn gratis.
Hippodrome is het plein waar een oude Hippodroom stond met onder meer de Egyptische Obelisk (3600 jaar oud), de Serpentine Column (gedateerd uit 486 v. Chr.), de Constantine Column uit de 10e eeuw en de Duitse fontein.
Blauwe Moskee (SultanAhmet-moskee), die erg beroemd is met blauwe kwartstegels uit de 17e eeuw, is de enige moskee ter wereld met zes minaretten.
Het is een ongerepte Byzantijnse cisterne onder de grond. Het was een waterreservoir tijdens de Byzantijnse periode. Het is zeer beroemd met Medusa Head figuren en unieke kolommen. Dan Brown heeft het hier over gehad in zijn boek "Hell" en enkele beroemde films zoals "Inferno" werden hier gefilmd. Toegangsprijs is 27EURO per persoon.
Grand Bazaar waar 4500 oosterse winkels binnen zijn. Winkelen is een soort cultuur in Grand Bazaar. We adviseren dus om eerst met een gids rond te lopen om daar te verkennen en het gevoel van winkelen te krijgen. En dan zitten onze gasten aan de veilige kant en wordt het gezelliger. Anders komt het zo overweldigend in een korte tijd. Na samen rondgelopen te hebben in de Bazaar, zal onze tour daar eindigen.

This was our fourth visit to Istanbul, hence we had no interest in seeing the "traditional" sights once again. Zerrin was the perfect guide to assist given her intimate knowledge of the city's shops, restaurants, etc., and very accommodating style! Zerrin was a fantastic guide. She was fast to respond to our emails planning the tour. She met us at the cruise terminal and explained her suggested itinerary and asked if we wanted to change anything. Her knowledge of archeology and history was excellent—we learned so much on our trip. We were able to see all of the things we requested—had we been our own, we would never have been able to fit in in. I highly recommend Zerrin as a tour guide! She was also wonderful with my 14 year old—we all want to visit Istanbul again!
