1De Grote Piramide van Khufu (Piramide van Cheops): Als grootste en oudste van de drie belangrijkste piramides is dit de meest iconische. My nephew and I booked a private tour of the Pyramids and Grand Egyptian museum. Our Egyptologist Mahmoud Abozaid was great. He was very informative, allowing time for exploring the pyramids at our own pace. We also stopped off at papaya factory as well as an oil/perfume factory which wasn’t mentioned when booking but a nice touch. Sadly we had visited these places before so never purchased anything. We also lost time in GEM by doing this so it would have been nice to have been asked beforehand if we were interested in visiting these places which added to the overall duration of what was supposed to be a half day trip. We didn’t get to see all of the GEM but did see the most important parts. You really need a day for visiting the GEM. Nevertheless it was an enjoyable day overall and I’d recommend Mahmoud as your guide.

My visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum was truly impressive. The architecture, the spacious galleries, and the way the artifacts are presented create a world‑class experience. The Tutankhamun collection is especially breathtaking, and the staff were helpful and well‑organized. Overall, it’s a must‑visit destination that beautifully showcases Egypt’s rich history. We had 2 tour guys. Mohamed and Issam. They both were very knowledgeable. They usually include a visit to a papyrus store, a oil store and a spices store which we asked them not to do and they pleased us. There are so many important buildings at the Market and of course tons of stores. You felt safe with Issam and it’s quite a unique experience. It is a long day though. I can recommend it.
