Tijdens deze WO1-slagveldtour bezoeken we de angstaanjagende slagvelden van Gallipoli, gelegen in de Dardanellen. Bekijk de locaties waar meer dan 30.000 Britse en Commonwealth-troepen hun leven gaven, terwijl onze tour begint in de stad Gallipoli, waar we het Helles Memorial zien. Vervolgens concentreren we ons op de landingen van april 1915 en zien we waar de Britse troepen op V-strand landden. Bij ANZAC zien we de invasiestranden en bezoeken we de nabijgelegen begraafplaatsen zoals Lone Pine. Deze tour heeft twee ophaalopties. Ophalen bij de haven van Canakkale of vanuit Istanbul.

Ontmoet uw professionele Gids en vertrek naar het schiereiland Gallipoli. Bezoek de landingsplaats van de ANZAC troepen op 25 april 1915. Bekijk de Beach Cemetery, waar de beroemde soldaat-dichter John Simpson Kirkpatrick begraven ligt. Stop bij Ari Burnu, een belangrijk strandhoofd tijdens de campagne. Bezoek Lone Pine Cemetery & Memorial, gewijd aan Australische soldaten. Verken de loopgraven en tunnels die tijdens de strijd worden gebruikt. Zie De Nek, waar de tragische charge van de Light Horse Brigade plaatsvond. Bezoek het New Zealand Memorial, dat hun grote overwinning markeert op de hoogste grond van Gallipoli. Kom ruim op tijd voor vertrek van uw cruise aan in de haven.

Absolutely fantastic - Charlie did an excellent job with our private tour, tailoring it to our needs (we had a short timeframe) and providing engaging and informative information on the various sites we visited, giving us time for photos and to look around without it ever feeling rushed. Would absolutely recommend Fez Travel for private tours as we didn't want to go with a busload of other people. Totally worth the (very reasonable) cost.

Having chosen to visit Gallipoli, we contacted Crowded House Tours and asked them to arrange a private tour for us. From the moment we contacted them and communicated with Ramazan Altuntas, every step was professional and always communicated clearly. Ramazan arranged for Yokan to be our guide. Yokan met us at our Cannakele hotel, and we walked to the ferry to Kilitbahir. On arrival, we were met by our driver Ilhan, who drove us around the Peninsula. Yokan was such an informative and interesting guide - he brought every aspect of the battles and living conditions to life. His vast knowledge of dates was quite astonishing. We cannot recommend Crowded House Tours and Yokan and Ilhan enough.
I had been really disappointed in Istanbul, I felt frightened and abused by the aggressive store keepers and children… and then I met Omar. He picked me up, on time and had a very calm manner about him. He put me at ease immediately . He answered every question I asked and chose an excellent place for breakfast. He ate with me and the driver (I’m so sorry I have forgotten his name) and we talked together. Both men were kind, modest and excellent communicators. The destination was several hours from my hotel, but there was no time to be awkward. This tour changed my opinion of Turkey. Actually. I want to revisit it, but skip Istanbul and focus on other areas. Gallipoli was confronting… the areas devoted to AnZACS practically deserted, but the Turkish statues were crowded with bus loads of people. I liked hearing the story from a Turkish perspective. Omar gave the battles a grace and humanity that sometimes we forget about in war. It was a very long day, and on the return trip home I rested a little and was allowed to call the breaks I needed. We ate gozleme for lunch and drank the yoghurt water. It seemed to be a genuine Turkish experience, and one I will never forget! Thankyou Omar, and I know you will find your dreams one day!

Very moving trip to the battlefields. If you are interested in the Great War, this is an excellent trip. The battlefields and trenches are still clearly visible. The museum is a must. Well worth the bisit

Do not use this company. I paid for my tour and they did not show up. I had a text message verification. My last day in zturkey snd now I do not get to go.
Unfortunately we couldn't do the tour due to a technical problem as we never received the booking from Bokun/Viator. When a booking is made we receive an email from Bokun / Viator however when this booking was made on 27th May we didn't receive any emails. Normally we check the dashboard regularly but as this was a last minute booking and as our office was closed on Sunday we didn't have time to check it before 29th May. As we explained to you on Monday, we explained the situation to Viator and Bokun and they tested the emailing system and fixed everything. We're really sorry. All we could do was to refund the full payment. Really sorry to hear that it was your last day in Turkey and you couldn't make it on another day.
