My husband is blind and I am sighted. Nissim did a remarkable job of making our private tour meaningful and special for both of us. He even had a 3-D model of the City of David that my husband could touch. By manipulating my husbands’s hands and arms, Nissim was able help him understand the topography. Amazing adaption. We love history and Nissim filled our tour with details and interesting explanations. A wonderful tour, we highly recommend Nissim!

Fascinating tour of the archeology from the time of King David to King Hezekiah with a guide who had great insight and rare depth of knowledge. The water tunnels are spectacular - you really get to understand how they were constructed 2500 years ago.

Our group of seven had a fantastic experience touring the City of David with Nissim Slama. One of the highlights was the flexibility: Nissim let us split up so some of us could wade through the water in Hezekiah’s Tunnel while the rest took the dry tunnel, then regrouped seamlessly on the other side. Nissim is deeply knowledgeable about the history of the site and brought it to life, walking us through how the city evolved over many millennia. We saw the physical remains of the ancient city walls and came away with a real understanding of how Jerusalem’s water source shifted from King David’s time to that of the later kings. Having a private tour made all the difference. We were able to step away from the crowds, take our time, and ask as many questions as we wanted — digging deeply into the history and how it connects to the biblical accounts. Great contact ahead of time by Nissim. The tour was great! Nissim is very knowledgeable and also uses large photos, a white board and a small topographical relief board to help explain everything which is very beneficial to get a better understanding. He knows the area very well and has great relationships with people working around the sites which lead to the tour not ending prematurely due to a nearby event. It was fun getting wet walking through the ancient Hezekiah’s tunnel for 500 meters.

Nisim was an exceptional tour guide. He was incredibly patient with our family, especially since we had our four-year-old with us for the entire trip. He made a genuine effort to include our child in the tour, weaving him into the explanations and keeping him engaged, which made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free.
