Ideaal voor cruise- of vliegtuigpassagiers op de luchthaven Noord. Tenerife is een eiland waar de specifieke geologie alles beïnvloedt, dus er is niets beters dan een officiële gids en geoloog te hebben die je het eiland laat zien. Je wordt opgehaald bij de haven of luchthaven (of een ander deel van het grootstedelijk gebied, naar keuze) en van daaruit vertrekken we om verschillende van de belangrijkste plaatsen op het eiland te zien (de onderstaande lijst is slechts een suggestie) . De reis kan volledig worden aangepast aan uw smaak, dus eenmaal in de auto zullen we beslissen waar we heen gaan en wat we gaan doen, of we veel of weinig stops zullen maken, enz. Altijd met professioneel advies van de gids en chauffeur. - Privérondleiding. - Volledig aanpasbare tour. Jij beslist wat je wel en niet doet. - Een geoloog als gids. - Amateurfotograaf, ik neem mijn camera mee en deel de foto's na de reis met je. - Kinderzitjes beschikbaar indien nodig. - Grote auto (SUV), maar maximaal vier passagiers. Het is geen minivan.

Fantastisch uitzicht op de Orotava-vallei, de Teide, het Izaña-observatorium en de wolkenzee.
Het Nationaal Park Teide is het meest bezochte park van Europa en het negende ter wereld. We zullen daar enkele uren doorbrengen en zullen (naast de hieronder genoemde voorbeelden) van een veelheid aan geologische en natuurlijke verschijnselen zien, die door de gids worden uitgelegd. Hier bevindt zich de stratovulkaan Teide-Pico Viejo, die met 3.718 m de hoogste bergtop van Spanje is. Met een hoogte van 7.500 meter boven de zeebodem wordt deze vulkaan beschouwd als het op twee na hoogste vulkaan ter wereld. De vulkaan staat op een spectaculaire locatie. De visuele impact van de locatie wordt nog eens versterkt door de atmosferische omstandigheden die zorgen voor voortdurend veranderende texturen en tinten in het landschap en een "zee van wolken" die een visueel verbluffende achtergrond voor de berg vormt. Het wereldwijde belang van de berg Teide ligt in de levendige weergave van de geologische processen die ten grondslag liggen aan de evolutie van oceanische eilanden.
Een wandeling door een van de meest bijzondere gebieden van het Nationaal Park, met een interessante geschiedenis en schitterende landschappen. Daar ontdekken we de geologische geschiedenis van Tenerife, gekenmerkt door uitbarstingen en de transformerende kracht van de natuur, maar ook prachtige voorbeelden van de unieke lokale flora van de berg Teide.
Één van de meest gefotografeerde iconen van het Nationaal Park Teide. Deze indrukwekkende rotsformaties, die door de eeuwen heen door vulkanische erosie en wind zijn gevormd, vertonen grillige vormen in het midden van de Ucanca-vlakte. Vanaf deze plek kunt u genieten van een spectaculair panoramisch uitzicht op de berg Teide en het keteldal Las Cañadas. Het is dan ook het favoriete uitkijkpunt van het park. Alhoewel we ook in andere, meer verborgen, gebieden zullen zijn... En, waarom ook niet, we drinken een kopje koffie met het mooiste uitzicht over het eiland.
De vallei, ontstaan door een kolossale aardverschuiving, is tegenwoordig een boomgaard waar bananenbomen en wijnstokken worden geplant en waar het leven bruist. Een spectaculair uitzicht op de bergen, de zee en het naburige eiland La Palma. Afhankelijk van de beschikbare tijd en jouw interesses bezoeken we een café met indrukwekkende uitzichten, uitzichtpunten onderweg of de prachtige stad La Orotava, met zijn paleizen en prachtige historische centrum.
UNESCO Werelderfgoed, omdat het de eerste Spaans/Amerikaanse koloniale stad was. Het historische centrum bevat het eerste ideale ‘stadsgebied’, getekend volgens filosofische principes. De brede straten en open ruimtes worden geflankeerd door prachtige kerken en openbare en particuliere gebouwen uit de 16e, 17e en 18e eeuw.

Voor alternatieve locaties, aarzel niet om het mij te vertellen, het kan zonder problemen worden georganiseerd, het is een privétour, dus er zijn geen vooraf vastgestelde routes. Our driver and guide, Antonio, is a friendly, knowledgeable expert guide for Tenerife. We spent the day with him driving around the island, frequently stoping for pictures and discussing the history, geology, and social aspects of Tenerife. Antonio definitely knows the geology of the four kinds of volcanoes on the island. When you travel with him , you have the opportunity to learn and see almost anything that you request. Since Antonio allows his guests to set the pace and itinerary, you can have an amazing experience with him as you drive around Tenerife.
We had an amazing day with Antonio. He took us to many beautiful stops in Teide national park, shared his detailed knowledge of the geology and gave us a huge amount of information about Tenerife. We took his suggestion to start the day early and it was well worth it to beat the crowds in the national park. We stayed in Tenerife for a day in November. Antonio picked us up on time at the port and the tour went as described about 7 hours. From Santa Cruz we went straight to Teide National Park, the route up to the volcano was very winding but there were always beautiful landscapes and views. Antonio drove us safely and we learned a lot about Tenerife's culture and geology. We can only recommend the excursion was the best on our Canary Islands cruise. He also took pictures and sent us afterwards. Thank you Antonio 😃

Excellent tour guide, very helpful and knowledgeable. We travelled from the UK with a little child and Antonio was so kind he made sure he stayed in the car with our little one if he was tired or sleeping so we could quickly pop out of the car to enjoy the view and he took us to all those special spots for capturing the best views. Would surely recommend him.

Our cruise switched ports from Lanzarote to Tenerife at the last minute and we were beyond lucky to find Antonio to take us up to El Teide and around the island. From pick up at the port to drop off, everything was perfect. It was misty and cloudy all the way through the forest up to the mountain, and Antonio kept reassuring us that the weather would clear at the top. And he was right - it was stunningly beautiful on the mountain. He stopped any time we wanted for photos, and even emailed me his own pictures after the tour. As we walked around different places in the park, Antonio explained all about the geology in the park along with the flora and fauna. Afterwards, we drove along some beautiful winding roads with wonderful views to Los Silos and Garachico for a lunch stop at a place right on the sea and a walk around the town. One more stop at Icod de los Vinos to see the most popular tree in Tenerife, the Drago Milenario or 1000-year-old dragon tree. All in all, it was a very full day for a very fair price and every minute was wonderful. Thanks Antonio and don't be surprised if we take you up on your offer and return to Tenerife! Susan and Mike
