Deze tour neemt je mee van Dubrovnik naar Split met een stop bij Ston. Ston was, na Dubrovnik, de tweede belangrijkste stad van de Republiek Dubrovnik. Ston heeft muren, gebouwd tussen de 14e en 15e eeuw, en die zich uitstrekken over een lengte van meer dan 5 kilometer. De muren werden versterkt door veertig torens en bastions. Ston heeft ook grote natuurlijke zoutpannen aan de voet van het Ston-kanaal, waar al eeuwenlang zeezout wordt geproduceerd - een kostbaar monopolieproduct van de Republiek Dubrovnik. Het verhaal van Split is al 17 eeuwen oud en dateert uit de tijd dat de Romeinse keizer Diocletianus besloot zijn paleis te bouwen op het schiereiland nabij de grote Romeinse stad Salona, waar hij de laatste jaren van zijn leven wilde doorbrengen. Gedurende deze 1700 jaar veranderde het paleis langzaam in een stad, die tot op de dag van vandaag lokt met zijn rijke traditie, glorieuze geschiedenis en schoonheid van zijn natuurlijke en culturele erfgoed. Ook Split staat sinds 1979 op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO.

In Ston zullen we een wandeltocht maken en daarna vrije tijd voor koffie, ontbijt of winkelen.
Zodra we in Split aankomen, zal ik je het paleis van Diocletianus en de beroemde Split Riva laten zien. Wanneer we onze geschiedeniswandeling beëindigen, heb je voldoende vrije tijd om te lunchen, te ontspannen of te winkelen.

We had an amazing transfer from Dubrovnik to Split. Stipe was on time, kind, and professional. The drive was comfortable thanks to the luxurious car, and we took pictures at a number of picturesque locations. An excellent mode of transportation between the two cities.

We booked this tour because we needed to go from Dubrovnik to Split and it was a perfect pick for us.Our guide stopped in Ston and showed us Ston and also we stopped in a little winery on the way and the red wine was amazing

Both of the towns are beuatiful and worth visiting.Our driver was excellent so it was a smooth ride and also he showed us everything once we arrived at the stops
