Veel mensen bezoeken Langkawi vanwege de stranden die perfect zijn voor een dagje ontspanning. Maar als u meer wilt bereiken tijdens uw bezoek aan het juweel van Kedah, zorg er dan voor dat u deze tour van Tanjung Rhu aan uw reisplan toevoegt! Bezoek het beroemde mangrovebos van de archipel en andere nabijgelegen attracties in slechts een halve dag. U stopt bij Crocodile Cave en Bat Cave, Gorilla Mountain, Shoes Island, Monkey Island en een tour door de Andamanse Zee. Na uw verkenning bekijkt u de arenden die worden gevoerd en geniet u van de visshow!! U hebt de mogelijkheid om te kiezen tussen een gedeelde boottocht of een privétour, wat het beste bij uw behoeften past. Een vriendelijke chauffeur/gids en vervoer van en naar het hotel zijn inbegrepen om uw dag compleet te maken!

De tour start met het ophalen van uw hotel/haven door onze lokale chauffeur naar de steiger.
Reis per boot door de kronkels en bochten van de Kilim-rivier door het doolhof dat is ontstaan door luchtwortels en dikke, vlezige bladeren van de mangrovebomen. We zien vaak mangrovedieren die hun thuis hebben in dit delicaat uitgebalanceerde ecosysteem dat verantwoordelijk is voor de gezondheid en de grote verscheidenheid aan soorten in de Andamanse Zee. We onderzoeken ook hoe het mangrovegebied een perfecte omgeving is voor kleinschalige industrieën zoals viskwekerijen. Onze eerste stop is De schipper zal de motor stoppen en wat stukjes kip in het water gooien om de arenden uit te nodigen. En binnen de kortste keren zul je arenden vlak naast je zien duiken en de stukjes kip oprapen en ze opeten terwijl ze de lucht in vliegen. Als we de mangroves verlaten, zie je majestueuze kalksteenrotsformaties en zeestapels die dramatisch uit de oceaan oprijzen. Dit oeroude koraal dat miljoenen jaren geleden de lucht in werd geduwd, is de thuisbasis van een unieke en oude groep planten die nergens anders op aarde te vinden is
Daarna gaan we de donkere vleermuisgrotten verkennen en ons verdiepen in legendarische verhalen vol mysterie en romantiek.
Bezoek drijvende moderne viskwekerij en lokale viskwekerij is een van de tour. Onze boot zet u af bij de drijvende viskwekerij in een afgelegen baai omringd door hoge verticale kalksteen- en granieten kliffen. U krijgt ruim de tijd om de pijlstaartroggen te zien. Er worden ook een aantal zeedieren in de 'tanks' gehouden, maar we zullen niet te veel verklappen - het is de reis meer dan waard. Na een halve dag met een nieuwe ervaring, vaart de boot terug naar de steiger en brengt de chauffeur u naar uw oorspronkelijke hotel/haven pick-up

Doing the Private Mangroves Tour in Langkawi is a must. The boat is to yourself, you have un obstructed view of each point, from the Eagle feeding to the Monkeys (there was so many) it's a very personal experience that is well worth the extra cost. The Fish farm was so unique, the local resident of the farm showed us an array of species and we had the pleasure to even pat the friendly string rays and sharks and then choose our fish which they prepared and so we can. Nothing quire beats having such a delicious fresh meal in the middle of the sea. This was my favourite trip in Langkawi and is a must for anyone to do...
A fabulous experience. We were picked up from the port at the agreed time, driven by the informative and friendly Eddy to the boats. Harry was a great boatman with amazing eyes for spotting wildlife. All in all a great day.
The private tour was worth it. Having the guide for ourselves made a great difference from needing to cope with a group.
Unfortunately I was silly and thought the price I was quoted was local currency, so I thought I was getting a bargain. After booking I realized the price was in Singaporean dollars, and about 4 times the price I thought I was paying. My fault for not checking, but felt misleading for website to show prices in a different currency. The company were not able to refund me as I booked 21 hours before the trip and they don't allow refunds within 24 hours of the trip - even though I tried to cancel immediately after booking. We just had to go with it even though I could have booked for half the price through the hotel. This was a bad start to the trip, but.... on the plus side the landscape was beautiful and the boat was fun. Overall we enjoyed it, but a few things were not as described and ultimately we felt ripped off. We were sold a premium lunch. What we got was a plastic bag with a tiny piece of fish and rice and a bag full of soup or sauce. There was no food or drinks provided for our 3 year old even though we had paid for him. We were rushed through the trip and told we could eat the lunch at the end on the beach. The beach was beautiful so this would have been nice, but when we were dropped at the beach we had no plates or spoons to eat the food. I guess we were supposed to drink the soup from the bag. Not what I expected after spending $400usd for just 2 adults and a young child. For half the price I would have been fine with this. We also had to pack up the lunch (we actually threw it away) because we were told the trip had ended and our driver had another job so could not wait for us to even eat the food. The trip states 3.5 hours but according to the driver the trip was only 2 hours. Also, just a small thing, but the itinerary said they feed the eagles so you can see them up close. This did not happen, apparently there are restrictions on this now. Which I understand, but the trip description should be updated. Ultimately, this felt like a basic experience at a premium price point. I recommend you book directly through your hotel or even ask a local driver to organise this trip for you to ensure you get your money's worth.... And skip the lunch option.
The whole experience was very smooth. My Driver Bakhtiar picked me from my hotel on time. My boat guide Hanif was very friendly and knowledgeable, kept me engaged the whole time. He also took amazing pictures of me. The whole experience 10/10 would recommend.
Had a really good time seeing the wonderful rainforest islands of Langkawi, definitely a worthy experience to get on a boat and see the nature, included a good guide and a lunch too.
