De Ghanta Ghar in Jodhpur is een prachtige klokkentoren in het centrum van de stad, ongeveer 200 jaar geleden gebouwd door Maharaja Sardar Singh. Bekend als de klokkentoren van Rajasthan, het is een populaire bezienswaardigheid die het begin van het oude Jodhpur betekent. De toren biedt vanaf de top een schitterend panoramisch uitzicht over de stad. Het gebied rond dit imposante bouwwerk bruist van de lokale bevolking die allerlei producten en diensten presenteert, waardoor het de drukste en grootste marktplaats van Jodhpur is. Toorji's Step Well - werd in de jaren 1740 gebouwd door de koningin van Maharaja Abhaya Singh. Bijna een eeuw ondergedompeld, heeft de recente drainage, opruiming en restauratie meer dan 60 meter met de hand gesneden schat blootgelegd in de beroemde rozerode zandsteen van Jodhpur; ingewikkelde gravures van dansende olifanten, middeleeuwse leeuwen- en koeienwaterspuiten en nissen met lang vervlogen goden. Uw verblijf in Jodhpur zou niet compleet zijn zonder een bezoek aan dit wonderbaarlijke monument.
Zal naar de smalle straat diep in de stad lopen om het blauwe huis en de markt in de oude stad te bekijken.
De tempel werd in 1847 gebouwd door Maharaja Vijay Singhji ter nagedachtenis aan zijn bedrogen zoon Sher Singh die op zeer jonge leeftijd stierf. De tempel bevindt zich in het binnenland van Jaipur, maar is met alle middelen toegankelijk. Het heiligdom is gemaakt van Chittor-zandsteen en Makrana-marmer. De tempel behoort tot Rama Nandi Vaishnava-sekten van hindoes. De prachtige architectuur van het gebouw is iets om in de gaten te houden. Er is ook een Shiva-tempel die 2 verdiepingen onder het oppervlak ligt, maar vanaf het oppervlak te zien is. Er is ook een pad om de tempel te bezoeken.
De meren Ranisar en Padamsar zijn twee aangrenzende meren in de stad Jodhpur die meer dan 500 jaar geleden zijn gebouwd. Ze bevinden zich aan de achterzijde van het Mehrangarh Fort, vlakbij de Fateh Pol. Deze schilderachtige meren zijn gemaakt om water te besparen, aangezien Jodhpur onder een woestijngebied valt waar water schaars is. Deepak was one of the best guides I ever had!!! You can tell he loves his job... and that's what makes his tour truly unique! He could answer all the questions that came to mind and he showed us super many places that we would never have found on our own! It was my girlfriend's birthday the day after the tour and he got her evening prayer a cake and organized a party! We couldn't believe it at first we're nice Deepak! Please, if you read this comment you don't need to look any further, you can book this tour and you will have the best guide in Jodhpur!

We had an absolutely incredible day! The tour was wonderful, and it ended up being just my partner and me, which made the whole experience feel much more personal. We laughed a lot with our guide, and he gave us great explanations while also letting us take as much time as we wanted at each attraction. He even took lots of photos for us along the way, which we really appreciated. There are also a few special surprises during the tour that I won’t spoil here — it’s better if you discover them yourselves! But trust me, you won’t regret it. There are some truly special moments that make the experience even more memorable. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, so you can ask him anything and he’ll be happy to help or explain. The best part was that when we mentioned it was my birthday, he made the wonderful gesture of taking us to a rooftop of a hotel (which I also highly recommend visiting, even just for the views) so we could enjoy a birthday cake. They even sang Happy Birthday to me! It turned into such a special moment, and I felt truly welcomed. We had such a great time, and our guide was very, very funny, which made the whole day even better. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience — I would definitely recommend this tour!

Deepak gave us a really enjoyable and informative tour around the Old Town and took us to a few special spots and blue alleys, as well as viewpoints at the fort for sunset we would not have found otherwise! He has been doing these tours for over 20 years and really knows a lot about the history of the city, highly recommend to take a tour with him when you are in Jodhpur.

We had a wonderful tour with Prabhat, who was so engaging and knowledgeable about Jodhpur. He grew up in the old town and still lives there, sharing fascinating stories about the history and culture of the region that really brought it to life. Plus, the samosas were scrumptious! We had such a wonderful tour with Prabhat as our guide! He was so professional, yet passionate and fun about the blue city! He shared lots of information about the region ranging from local cuisine, religion, history and arts. He gave us plenty of time to explore and take pictures where we wanted. He knew great photo spots to take us to and see lots of murals. What we loved most was that there was zero pressure to shop or buy anything on this tour. It was refreshing! Prabhat was the perfect guide! Pickup and communication were perfectly coordinated.

We had a fantastic tour of Jodhpur - learning about the Blue City and its history was very interesting. Mr. Singh was an excellent guide who showed us around with great knowledge and warmth, even taking us to sample some delicious street food along the way. We would highly recommend this experience!

We had a fantastic experience with Mr Singh. He was friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly informative throughout the tour. He gave us a wonderful tour of Jodhpur’s Blue City, where we explored the beautiful streets and tried some amazing street food. We learned so much about Jodhpur, its history, and the local culture. We would highly recommend Mr Singh and his tour to anyone visiting Jodhpur 🙂

We previously reviewed this tour and gave it a very low score. Our original review is provided as a screenshot attached. The operator has since contacted us and explained that he was not available for for our tour so sent a a replacement in his his stead. Given previous reviews by others, I think the normal tour operator is very good, but our experience was quite negative. The operator has offered us a full refund due to our experience.
