De meest iconische watervallen van IJsland, Gullfoss, zijn ontstaan op de plek waar de Hvita-rivier, die wordt gevoed door de op één na grootste gletsjer van IJsland, de Langjokull-gletsjer, zich stort in een 32 meter diepe kloof, waar je muren tot 70 meter kunt zien ) Bij de waterval van Gullfoss kunt u genieten van de prachtige, ruige en ongerepte natuur. We raden aan om te lunchen in het restaurant van Gullfoss, het café van Gullfoss.
Dit is een geothermisch actieve vallei waar de hete lente Geysir en zijn kleine broertje Strokkur zich bevinden . Het is een vrij spectaculair spektakel dat dicht bij de Strokkur staat en elke 5-10 minuten in de lucht springt.

This was a wonderful tour. Jon, my guide, was so friendly and knowledgeable. The advantage of a private tour is that you can keep the pace exactly as you like. The sights we saw were amazing. I would highly recommend this one f you are looking for a private Golden Circle tour.

We had an absolutely wonderful day on the Golden Circle Tour with Stephan. He was punctual, and shared his knowledge of Iceland, it’s history and geographical information. Best of all, his recommendations for food were SPOT on! Ask for Stephan, he will not disappoint. The Mercedes van was very comfortable and roomy for our party too.

Expect your guide to be very knowledgeable in the human and natural history of the region, and to be extremely professional and courteous. The tour was well-paced in terms of when the stops occurred, availability of meals, snacks, etc., and had something for everyone.
DJ was the best tour guide/driver ever! My 12yo daughter woke up with a headache and was afraid to get a migraine while away. He reversed the itinerary so we could do the farthest sites first and get closer to the hotel as we went in case she needed to go back. He was super attentive and checked in with her often. Luckily she made it through the whole fantastic tour! We saw many cool sites. Iceland is so beautiful!
