In 1985 werd het nationale park van Argentinië uitgeroepen tot werelderfgoed, een jaar later volgde het nationale park van Brazilië en sinds 2012 zijn de Iguassu-watervallen een van de zeven natuurwonderen van de wereld, waar jaarlijks miljoenen bezoekers worden betoverd door deze natuurlijke schoonheid. Midden in het subtropische regenwoud zijn in de bovenloop van de rivier diverse wandelpaden en loopbruggen aangelegd, waar je stap voor stap door dit natuurspektakel wordt geleid. Tegenwoordig is het niet ongebruikelijk, dankzij het natuurbehoudprogramma "projeto carnívoro", gericht op het behoud van bedreigde roofdieren, dat het aantal jaguars aanzienlijk is toegenomen en dat ze vaak worden waargenomen in de parken. De Fauna & Flora van Iguassu herbergt meer dan 76 zoogdieren zoals de tapir, het grootste zoogdier in Zuid-Amerika, poema's, kapucijnapen, meer dan 400 soorten vogels zoals toekans, papegaaien en kolibries, en duizenden bloeiende planten zoals orchideeën en helicônia's .
Tijdens onze fotostop bezoeken we het drielandenpunt tussen Brazilië – Argentinië – Paraguay. Precies op dit punt mondt de Rio Iguaçu uit in de enorme Rio Paraná, een van de rijkste van Zuid-Amerika.
Het Braziliaanse Iguaçu Nationaal Park en het Iguazú Nationaal Park in Argentinië liggen als tweelingparken tegenover elkaar. De Iguaçu staat sinds 1986 op de Werelderfgoedlijst en ligt in de staat Paraná, in de zuidelijke regio van Brazilië. Omdat ruim 75% van de watervallen zich op Argentijns grondgebied bevinden, krijg je veruit de beste panoramische uitzichten vanaf de Braziliaanse kant.

The tour was fantastic, both guides were excellent, friendly and informative. We crammed a lot into the day, but was one of our highlights of our South American trip.
My wife & are from Atlanta USA and I took this tour on May 26 & May 27 and had an amazing experience. Our tour guide Rodrigo Ojeda Engel took us to the Brazil side of the falls on the first day and we enjoyed the trail and breath taking views of the falls. Upon our request, he took us to the bird park also and we really liked the variety of birds there. He was also kind enough to take us to the mall where we had to return an item before we headed out to Argentina. As language was an issue, he spoke to the store manager in local language and explained our situation and helped us get a refund. The second day, we had Oscar as our tour guide who took us to the Argentina side of the falls. We enjoyed the trail walks and Devil’s throat views and also enjoyed the boat ride. Oscar explained us so well and we had a great time. He also took us to the meeting point of the 3 countries. Thanks to Viator, Rodrigo & Oscar, we thoroughly enjoyed the falls experience and the tour. Highly recommend this tour.
We chose the two day option which was perfect for seeing both sides of the falls, doing the boat ride under the falls and the bird park. Our guide Philippe was great!!! He spoke excellent English and was incredibly knowledgeable about everything we did and saw! The pace we moved was perfect and probably would have taken us four days had we tried to do it on our own. This was by far one of the top five sightseeing experiences of our lives! Thank you Philippe!
Our guide Rodrigo was fantastic even arranging a new driver to speed up the difficult border crossing. The fall were truly amazing with the views from the Brazilian side truly stunning.
Our guide did a great job on our tour. He was flexible and had many options for the day in both Brazil and Argentina sides of the falls. I would recommend this trip.
Amazing tour with Rodrigo! We Wanted to do a two day tour, and you get tourist queue for the Argentinian/Brazilian border. We even wanted to see Paraguay and have dinner there and worked with a tour guide named William he was great too. Would highly recommend

I couldn’t ask for a better experience in Foz de Iguacu. Rodrigo made sure we were picked up from the airport, had a full day on the Brazilian side, and another on the Argentinian side and when we asked for a few hours in Paraguay, Rodrigo organized it on the spot. He speaks fluent English, and has so much knowledge that we could have spent a week with him, but above all he is very attentive, kind and trustworthy. My wife and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our guide, Hercilia, went above and beyond to take care of us. She showed up promptly on time to pick us up both days at our hotel in Foz. The first day we saw the Brazilian side of the falls and they were spectacular. Hercilia let us stay at the falls as long as we wanted, then returned us to our hotel. The next day she picked us up at 7:30 am. We had all our luggage with us because we going to be staying on the Argentinian side of the falls after the tour. She was easily able to accommodate our 4 suitcases. The Argentine side of the falls were also spectacular. We decided we wanted to do the boat ride under the falls and Hercilia helped us buy our tickets. I highly recommend the boat tour. After spending most of the day at the falls, Hercilia took us for a quick tour of Puerto Iguazo and also helped us exchange some dollars to pesos. She then dropped us off at our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour. It was very nice to have someone get us across the border and show us around both side of the falls, especially the Argentine side, which can be a little daunting with the trains and all the various trails.
