We booked a private tour for my friend’s birthday, and it was absolutely worth it. We had a wonderful day with an amazing crew Mani, Mbaruku, and Mudy who made sure we had a great time. They took great care of us and gave us the flexibility to decide how long we wanted to stay at each stop. The snorkeling was stunning, and Mani showed us some interesting fish! An other highlight was the food, it was delicious and they also had great options for my vegetarian friend. Highly recommended for an unforgettable day!

There are hundreds of boat operators in Zanzibar that'll take you out on a tour. They might all seem the same at first glance, but Dream Dhow delivers a truly unique experience compared to the competition. The moment we stepped on the beach, we noticed that Dream Dhow's boat was easily 5-6 times bigger than the rest of the boats out there. Stepping aboard, there was tons space on board for our entire group to spread out, lie down, and relax. We sailed by the other boats, saw how cramped they were, and wondered why we even considered booking anything else in the first place. The crew was experienced, and always looked out for our safety. We appreciated that they stayed a safe distance away from the dolphins, unlike many of the other boats we saw. For lunch, the crew prepared a fresh meal on board that rivaled the quality of the food we were eating ashore. We also went snorkeling and swimming in the beautiful Indian Ocean. It was so relaxing lying on the dhow, peacefully drifting around Mnemba Island in the Zanzibar sun. This is the dhow you want. Don't miss out!

We made 2 family excursions (2 children 6 and 10 years old). In Mnemba on a private dhow, a treat with turquoise water, crew with little care, the meal was delicious. Even if there were people (several boats), the captain found us a small corner of the sea away from the others, it looked like we were alone in the world. The snorkling spot was great even for our 6-year-old son. Thanks to Hamedi and his team! Tour of the island (spice farm , cellar with turtles, Stone Town): Abdul was able to make this tour very instructive. We ate well on the farm with spices, we did not need to stop at a restaurant for lunch. Thank you Abdul! Very good communication with the dream dhow team for the choice of excursions and organization. Always very punctual.

Our day with Dream Dhow Zanzibar was without question one of the highlights of our trip. From the taxi picking us up from our hotel to our guide collecting us and taking us to the boat and then stepping on board we found the crew to be warm, professional, attentive and very friendly. They were also incredibly sociable, which created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the full day. We chose a private dhow as opposed to a shared boat so we could experience the trip and savour all of it to ourselves and we didn’t regret it for a second. Having the boat to ourselves made the whole experience feel peaceful, personal and very special. We stopped for snorkelling and everything was perfectly organised with all equipment provided. The marine life was beautiful and the crew made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy it properly. I took some great underwater videos.. We weren’t able to visit the secluded sandbank due to the tides but didn’t feel robbed in any way. The food was equally exceptional. We had a freshly prepared BBQ seafood meal cooked by the excellent chef who made us a delicious vegetable curry, lobster, chicken, gorgeous salad and rice with plenty of fresh fruit and drinks throughout the day. Everything was generous and plentiful as well as being beautifully presented. Eating this incredible meal out on the ocean made our trip very memorable. One of the most magical moments came on the journey back when the crew raised the sails and the dhow glided silently across the ocean. With the warm sea air and the gentle rocking of the boat, we had the most fabulous sleep on board — pure relaxation. The whole day was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Huge thanks to the amazing crew for making the experience so special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zanzibar.

We were a family of 6 who went on a snorkeling trip outside Mnemba with Dream dhow. It was really what it sounds like, a dream! The boat is so nicely decorated and we thought it was great that the guides could come out on the snorkeling and help our 6-year-old. The food on board was divine and unforgettable. We also stopped at a sandbank and went swimming there. Really had a great day!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience yesterday with Dream Dhow Zanzibar — without doubt one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment I stepped aboard, the crew were warm, professional and genuinely attentive. Everything felt relaxed and authentic, never rushed, just a beautiful traditional dhow sailing along the Zanzibar coastline. We stopped to snorkel and all the gear was provided, making it completely effortless. The marine life was stunning and the crew gave us plenty of time to enjoy it properly. We also spent time on a secluded sandbank, which felt like something out of a postcard — peaceful, private and unforgettable. The food was exceptional. A freshly prepared BBQ seafood feast, delicious curry, plenty of fresh fruit and drinks included throughout. Everything was fresh, generous and beautifully presented. Eating that meal out on the water made it even more special. The whole day had the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Huge thanks to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dream Dhow Zanzibar to anyone visiting.
