My husband and I had an absolutely incredible excursion to Luxor, and it was entirely thanks to our wonderful guide, Professor Ahmed Elsisi. From start to finish, Professor Ahmed was attentive to our every need, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and having the best day possible. Not only is he deeply knowledgeable—giving us what felt like a fascinating, personalized history class on ancient Egypt—but he is also a fantastic photographer! He captured so many beautiful photos of our day that we will cherish forever. If you are planning a trip to Luxor and want a guide who is professional, deeply academic, caring, and attentive, we cannot recommend Professor Ahmed highly enough. He truly made this one of the best days of our travels!

Our tour guide Osama Mohawes was very knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything in excellent German. The pickup at the hotel was punctual, and the entire trip was very well organized. Despite the long transfer, the tour was absolutely worth it. The selected destinations were very worth seeing and offered interesting choices. Clear recommendation!

We could not have wished for a better guide than Maddalena. She transformed our day in Luxor into a journey through history: clear explanations, fascinating anecdotes, and great professionalism. From the Valley of the Kings to the Temple of Karnak to the felucca on the Nile, everything was perfect. We felt welcomed, supported, and enriched. An extraordinary guide and a wonderful person.

It was truly an absolutely impressive trip. Admittedly, it was very exhausting and lasted a total of 20 hours. But it was worth it. The driver Faris safely took us to Luxor and back. Our guide Mark (with a K) was particularly impressive. ;-) It's amazing how much knowledge he has. He made the trip very entertaining for us. We learned a lot, and Mark passionately addressed our questions. Great person! Absolute recommendation also as a private trip.

Everything went perfectly, pickup at the hotel and drive to Luxor, where we were welcomed by our tour guide Osama M. He told us everything important, and it was never boring. Our son (3 years old) was also with us, and he participated in everything as well. It was a hot but interesting day; Osama organized the trip on the Nile to Banana Island for a small extra fee, allowing us to catch our breath, and our son could see the animals on Banana Island. We would definitely do the trip again.

We had a wonderful day with our amazing guide Sabri, who was helpful and attentive, and explained everything very well in great detail. We were dazzled by the sights as well as a lot of historical and cultural information. This private excursion to Luxor is not to be missed; I highly recommend it.

My partner and I are from Germany and booked our Luxor day trip from the Steigenberger Aldau Hotel, where Mark (Egyptologist) and our driver George were recommended, and it was absolutely the right choice. Our driver picked us up at 5:30 AM at the hotel. The 3.5-hour drive was long, but definitely worth it. We returned around 7 PM after a full and unforgettable day. Mark was a very kind, professional and knowledgeable guide. His German was really good, and he explained everything in a clear and engaging way. He always made sure we stood in the shade during explanations, which we really appreciated in the heat. He also organized everything for us: from the day tickets to the entire schedule, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. That made the experience very relaxed. We also felt completely safe with him at all times. We started at Karnak Temple, then continued to the Valley of the Kings. Mark recommended three tombs – and we’re so glad we trusted him. The tomb of Ramses IV was especially beautiful. We also visited Tutankhamun’s tomb (extra ticket), which was absolutely worth it for us. It was very special to see his mummy in real life. At the end of the day, we visited the impressive Hatshepsut Temple, which was the perfect final stop. What we liked most was that Mark gave great tips (also about tourist scams) and offered additional options without ever being pushy, we could decide everything freely. We never felt rushed and had enough time to enjoy everything at our own pace. At the end, he organized lunch, and we even ate together with him, which made the experience feel even more personal and pleasant. It was a wonderful day full of history and impressions that you really need time to process afterwards. Overall, a perfectly organized trip – Luxor is a must-see, and with Mark, it becomes something truly special. Thank you for this amazing day! 🌞 Greetings from Germany

Today my partner and I did this trip, and although the 3am meeting time made for a long day, it was completely worthwhile. The tombs and temples on the tour surpass most ancient ruins you can visit elsewhere in the world. Much of the original structure and artistry has been preserved to a remarkable level. We were fortunate to be under the care of Egyptologist, Ahmed Elsisi, who is charming, knowledgeable, funny and hospitable, and who speaks excellent English. He has been hosting tours for over 25 years, and it shows. He shared rich context on every tomb and temple, and on the wider history of Luxor, which genuinely enriched the experience. His storytelling, questioning and humour made the information stick, and once he had walked us through each site, he gave us free time to explore on our own. If you're considering a private tour, ask for Ahmed. You won't regret it. He's also a great photographer and took over 200 pictures of us! If you're thinking of a group tour, I'd change your plan...

Had an amazing experience in Luxor with our guide and Egyptologist Ahmed Elsisi! Visited the most beautiful and varying tombs in the Valley of Kings, walked around breathtaking temples in Luxor, and ended with a wonderful boat trip on the river Nile. Ahmed had the deep knowledge to guide us expertly through it all and answer our questions, while keeping it fun and memorable! Also the perfect balance of guiding us along while giving us space to explore. Couldn’t have asked for more, highly recommend. Well worth the trip.

Yesterday we took this tour with our private guide Osama Mohawes, who speaks very good German by the way. It was all well organized, from our punctual pick up by Mohamed to the return to the hotel in Marsa Alam. That day we saw not only what is in the description, but much more. Through Osama's help and contacts we were able to visit Tutankhamun's tomb and Banana Island. What is also to mention is that Mohamed is always waiting nearby with his car and you can leave your things safely with him. This excursion is characterized by its individuality, because personal wishes are fulfilled where possible. You also get a lot of tips and technical information and don't have to queue anywhere.
