De tour begint vanaf cruiseschepen die aanmeren in de haven van Mombasa en we brengen je op tijd terug naar de haven voor verdere reizen: Fort Jesus Historical Museum, Old Town, Walk in the Market en lunch in een lokaal restaurant in Mombasa, Mombasa Giant Elephant Tusk monument en middagbezoek aan het hallerpark.

Je wordt opgehaald bij de haven en naar het Fort Jesus gebracht. Dit is het oudste museum van Mombasa en toont de cultuur en de oorsprong van de lokale bevolking, met vermelding van de oorsprong van het Swahili. Met een gids kunt u het historische patroon traceren dat leidde tot de invloed van de sultans. Daarnaast leer je de cultuur van de lokale bevolking kennen door middel van verschillende tentoonstellingen. Je zult genieten van een wandeling door de smalle straatjes van de oude stad Mombasa, langs de beroemde vismarkt voordat je rijdt om de slagtanden van olifanten te zien als een monument van de oude (nu illegale) ivoorhandel. Daarna loop je over de markt met een lunch bij lokale gerechten om de lokale keukens te proeven.
Na de lunch wordt u naar het Hallerpark gebracht. Dit is geen dierentuin, maar een vrij rondlopend dierenasiel dat is ontstaan uit het idee om een grote oude uitgestrekte voormalige cementgroeve te behouden. Er zijn veel dieren te zien en afhankelijk van je opwinding duurt dit tussen de 2 en drie uur vanwaar je teruggaat naar je hotel.
Deze gigantische aluminium slagtanden langs Moi Avenue werden gebouwd ter herdenking van een bezoek van prinses Margaret.

Excellent itinerary but flexible to what you want to do. Our guide Patrick was excellent. Company communication is excellent. Only thing to know is vehicles dont have good leg room and they dont have air-conditioning but ventilation from open roof. We had a very good time.

Tour was in guide's personal car. Bill, driver, was friendly and helpful. Car was small and A/C inadequate for wife's comfort. Young man Guide at Jesus Fort was knowledgeable and helpful. His Dad was a tourguide there 40 years. After this part of our tour, my wife was exhausted and very hot, so we asked Bill to return us to our cruise ship.
