Stop bij Angkor Wat bekend als het 7de wereldwonder en het grootste religieuze monument ter wereld, het Angkor Thom-complex, de Bayon-tempel met eindeloze 200 lachende gezichten, de Ta Prohm-tempel wordt betoverd door de aanblik van de ruïnes die zijn overgenomen door boomwortels, een demonstratie van de ontzagwekkende kracht van de natuur. Hoteltransport wordt verzorgd vanuit Siem Reap, maar de vereiste toegangsprijs is niet inbegrepen bij deze tour. Deze tour eindigt met retourtransfer naar uw hotel of een gewenst afleverpunt binnen het stadscentrum.

De gids haalt je om 8 uur op bij je hotel en we beginnen deze dag met het verkennen van de tempels van het door UNESCO beschermde Angkor National Park, het werelderfgoed en het grootste religieuze monument ter wereld. Betaal de toegangsprijs op uw eigen rekening bij het loket waar we voor u stoppen om er een te kopen en ga met de gids naar de eerste stop in Angkor Wat om de grootste en meest indrukwekkende van alle Angkor-tempels te bezoeken, beschouwd als een van de van de 7e wereldwonderen.
Angkor Wat werd gebouwd tussen 1113-1150 na Christus en opgedragen aan Vishnu, de hindoegod van het behoud. Het is de best bewaarde van alle tempels. De lay-out en de schaal zijn gewoonweg adembenemend, de muur rond de omheining meet 1.000 bij 800 meter en de gracht, die de oceanen van de wereld zou vertegenwoordigen, is 200 meter breed. Angkor Wat is een architecturale allegorie van de mythische berg Meru in het centrum van de wereld (Himalaya). Deze verbazingwekkende tempel herbergt het langste ononderbroken bas-reliëf ter wereld, dat langs de buitenste galerijmuren loopt.
We verkennen ook het Angkor Thom-complex. De enorme muren, zo'n 6 meter breed, 8 meter hoog en 13 km lang, bevatten veel monumenten. Binnen de muren namen de koning, zijn verwanten en ambtenaren, militaire officieren en priesters hun intrek, de rest van de mensen woonde buiten de grote omheining, tussen de twee kunstmatige meren. Ons bezoek begint met de South Gate, een prachtige introductie tot Angkor Thom met goed gerestaureerde beelden van Asura's (demonen) en goden langs de brug.
Binnen in het complex bezoeken we eerst de Bayon met 200 eindeloos lachende gezichten. Deze tempelberg in het centrum van Angkor Thom City, waar de Bayon zich onderscheidt van vele andere Angkor-monumenten
en we gaan verder naar het Olifantenterras, dat zijn naam dankt aan de uitstekende weergave van deze dieren en het Terras van Leprakoning, dat een prachtig beeldhouwwerk presenteert, in de volksmond bekend als de melaatse koning.
Raak in Ta Prohm betoverd door de aanblik van de ruïnes die zijn overgenomen door boomwortels, een demonstratie van de ontzagwekkende kracht van de natuur. Ontdek hoe de controversiële site door Franse archeologen werd overgelaten aan de vernietigende kracht van de jungle. Keer na de rondleiding terug naar uw hotel.

A great day trip excursion to Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm temple, and Bayon Temple. Very unique and amazing places to explore and take photos. I had a very exceptional and knowledgeable guide Mr. Chau Touschan who I would highly recommend. This is a must do if you are visiting Siem Reap for a half day excursion. He knew all of the history of the area and how to avoid the typical crowds and where to get the best photos.
Booked our tour to Angkor Wat, our guide Sath kept us updated as to pick up times etc beforehand. Sath and Mr.Savy (tuktuk driver) collected us on time. Sath was extremely knowledgeable about all the temples we visited and was able to answer all questions we had. His English was really good and we understood everything he had to say. Mr. Savy our driver was very careful and smooth driving, his tuktuk was immaculate and he was always at hand with ice cold drinks and cold towels as soon as we returned from each temple. Life saver as it gets very hot walking around the temples.
Awesome tour. We only had a short amount of time and Nak made sure we saw the best things in that short time. He is really friendly and knows a lot. If you are debating on visiting Cambodia, you should! It was the highlight of our Thailand Trip. Tourist numbers are low this year, so we got awesome pictures with few people in them.
Phearom was very helpful during the entire temple trip. He helped with the admission ticket purchase, taking us across 3 different temples and dropping us back to the hotel. As it was a very hot day, he had kept cold towels and chilled water ready in his car and would offer it after every temple visit. This was a real saviour as we did not need to worry about carrying water always with us and make our baggage heavier. Phearom is also very engaging in terms of explaining different places in Siem Reap throughout our tour.
Our guide, Sath, was great! He was very knowledgeable and experienced. He knew all the best places for pictures, interesting things to see, and was very professional and helpful. Whenever we returned to the tuk-tuk for the next leg of the tour, Mr Sim (driver) would have cold, jasmine scented towels and bottles of cold water for us. The one-day tour included highlights of the Hindu and Buddhist temples, the Ta Prohm ruins, the moat, and Victory Gate. While you can't see everything in one day, we thought this was an excellent tour if you only have one day to dedicate to Angkor Wat.

They provided cold towels and waters are very time we got on the bus, and the information was just right- not too much and not too little. Also sin is funny! Made the tour much more enjoyable!
