Colosseum, ook wel Flavisch amfitheater genoemd, is een gigantisch amfitheater gebouwd in Rome onder de Flavische keizers. De bouw van het Colosseum begon ergens tussen 70 en 72 na Christus en eindigde in slechts 8 jaar.
Boog van Constantijn is een van de drie overgebleven oude Romeinse triomfbogen in Rome. Opgericht om de overwinning van Constantijn op Maxentius te vieren.
De Boog van Titus staat nog steeds bij de ingang van het Forum Romanum, ter herdenking van de verovering van Jeruzalem in 70 na Christus door de Romeinse keizer Titus.
Volgens de oude Romeinse legende stichtten de stichters van Rome, Romulus en Remus, Rome op de Palatijn. De Palatijn is een vierzijdig plateau dat 131 voet ten zuiden van het Forum en 168 voet boven de zeespiegel stijgt.

The tour with Barbara was very good, we had visited Rome several times, but they never explained it so well. He is a person who knows a lot about Rome and his stories are very entertaining, plus he made the tour easy and fast (even though there were many people). I recommend it 100%
