La Fornace is een van de kleinste wijnmakerijen in Montalcino; een moeder, vader en zoon staan in voor de productie (Rosso, Brunello…)! Je krijgt de kans om hun kelders te bezoeken en getuige te zijn van de productie van de Blazon-wijn. Hier krijg je een glimp van wat er gebeurt als kwaliteit het overneemt van kwantiteit!
Montalcino is een juweel van kunst en geschiedenis ondergedompeld in de heuvels van Val d’Orcia. Deze middeleeuwse stad onthult de bezoeker onmiddellijk zijn oude militaire structuur, doorkruist door smalle en steile straatjes die buitengewone uitzichten bieden. Montalcino staat ook bekend als het dorp Brunello. Hier hebben we wat tijd om het middeleeuwse stadje te bezoeken.
Met het bezoek aan het middeleeuwse stadje Montalcino stoppen we voor de lunch in één van de meest goed gesorteerde wijnwinkels in de stad "Enoteca Grotta del Brunello". De lunch wordt begeleid door uw keuze uit vele Brunello-labels. Lunch niet inbegrepen.
Als het weer het toelaat kunnen we een fort bezoeken dat inmiddels een prachtige wijnwinkel is geworden. La Fortezza is een symbolisch referentiepunt voor kwaliteitswijnliefhebbers en voor wie meer wil weten over de fascinerende wereld van Montalcino en zijn Brunello! Het is precies gehuisvest in het oude fort van Montalcino, het is een centrum voor cultuur en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op Val d’Orcia. Met zijn team van professionals en een prachtige collectie van lokale en internationale wijnen, La Fortezza wijnwinkel is niet te missen!
Cacuci is een volledig vrouwelijk familiebedrijf dat slechts ongeveer 40 duizend flessen per jaar produceert! Gelegen ten noordoosten van Montalcino, wordt het beïnvloed door zijn eigen microklimaat. U bezoekt de kelders en de productie van hun wijn en ook hun extra vergine olijfolie.

- Op verzoek kunnen we tijdens de reservering lunchen in wijnkelders of op boerderijen, dit is een zeer aan te bevelen ervaring, vooral voor wijnliefhebbers. (Ze bieden ook vegetarische en glutenvrije lunches en houden rekening met allergieën. Op verzoek 24 uur voor de tour).

We had an amazing experience on this private Brunello wine tour from Florence! Alessandro was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Tuscany and its wine culture. The wineries were authentic and beautiful, and the scenery throughout the day was absolutely stunning. Everything was perfectly organized, relaxed, and personalized. We learned so much, tasted incredible wines, and discovered parts of Tuscany we never would have found on our own. A true highlight of our trip to Italy — highly recommended! 🍷🇮🇹
Alessandro was above amazing. There is no rating high enough to express what a wonderful experience he gave. Plus his knowledge of Florence and Tuscany was incredible. We would request him in the future for any tours in Florence.

We returned to Italy after a few years, we spent a whole week in Florence, we visited the Valdorcia and tasted the famous Brunello wine with Alessandro who made us discover secluded corners not beaten by mass tourism, such as the beautiful village of Monticchiello!! The wineries were family-run with an incredible mood, nothing touristy but original as per our request.. Alessandro proved to be an excellent guide and explained to us many things about Brunello and not only.. I could only recommend Alessandro as your choice if you want to taste Brunello.
Alessandro put together a full day private tour for 4 of us, he also chose a perfect restaurant for lunch, the vineyards in Montalcino were fabulous and we found some delicious wines to have sent home to enjoy once we get back! Do not hesitate to book your tour with him!
I would have rated higher than 5 if it was possible. Alessandro simply went above and beyond what you would expect from the moment he picked up our family of six at our apartment in central Florence. We went on two fabulous full day tours. His knowledge of Tuscany and the history is impressive and well explained. His tours were well thought out and easy going. He has been welcoming people from around the world for a long time. His mastery of the English language is phenomenal. We had an incredible day with Alessandro! He made sure we had everything we needed & customized the whole experience based on what we were looking for! He also had a wealth of information to share about the regions we visited! The wineries were amazing and held a lot of charm & quality!
We had the most amazing time on this tour. Alessandro was easy to work with leading up to the day of the tour. We were picked up at our lodging right on time. Transportation was in a roomy and comfortable van. We visited a beautiful family run winery in Montalcino, some of the best wine of our entire trip, but the family producing the wine was the our favorite part. We wouldn’t have found this place on our own. Next Alessandro took us to an amazing restaurant in a small village for lunch. Delicious. Again a place we would have never found on our own. Finally we went to Montepulciano to explore the city and visit two ancient wine cellars. We highly recommend Alessandro. His knowledge of wine and the history of the area was profound. He is just a friendly, fun, and engaging person. 10/10.
