Het Real Alcázar van Sevilla, samen met het Archief van Indië en de kathedraal van Sevilla, is in 1987 uitgeroepen tot werelderfgoed. Het is een indrukwekkende plek vol geschiedenis die het decor is geweest voor films en de beroemde serie "Game of Tronen». Het paleis is een mengelmoes van bouwstijlen, zoals mudejar, gotiek, renaissance en barok. De oorsprong van het Real Alcázar dateert uit de Hoge Middeleeuwen, hoewel sommige gebieden die typisch zijn voor islamitische kunst nog steeds te zien zijn. Het was in de 14e eeuw toen koning Pedro opdracht gaf tot de bouw van een paleis in Mudejar-stijl dat aan het gotische paleis van Alfonso X werd bevestigd, dat het koninklijk huis werd. Door de eeuwen heen was het de residentie van de Spaanse koninklijke familie in Sevilla en is het momenteel gereserveerd voor exclusief gebruik door royalty's, behalve voor toeristische bezoeken.

We booked a guided tour of the Real Alcázar of Seville well in advance, but unfortunately the operator cancelled on us shortly before our trip because they were unable to secure tickets. They are selling speculative, unsecured tours and a confirmation number does not mean you have tickets. I understand this is a high-demand location, especially during Semana Santa, but the cancellation left us with very limited alternatives, as official and third-party options were already sold out by the time they notified us. The operator did process a refund promptly. However, I would recommend that future travelers be cautious and not assume that a booking guarantees entry from this operator. In peak seasons, it may be safer to prioritize official tickets first and treat this tour as a speculative last resort only.

It is surprising to us how someone can leave a review without actually being a client and still make such claims. Second, what you sent was a request during peak high season, around Semana Santa. We receive a very high number of requests per day, sometimes more than 200. This is clearly explained during the booking process, and the fact that it may not have been fully understood is not our responsibility. We are a small local business and we work very hard every day to get as many people as possible inside the Real Alcázar of Seville. However, when tickets are sold out, it becomes very difficult, and we can only confirm bookings as we manage to secure availability. We planned poorly and could not get regular tickets for our preferred day. Daniel was amazing to work with and not only secured tickets when they were sold out but also arranged a private guide. Javier led us through the palace and gardens. Tons of information, very fast, but then we had time after to go back and see highlights at a slower pace. Certainly pricer than standard unguided admission, but well worth it. Would definitely recommend.
Our tour guide, Melissa, was wonderful. Small group and Melissa had great enthusiasm and knowledge. Don't hesitate to book this one!
Great experience! I am amazed that Daniel was able to secure tickets last minute (day before) for the Alcázar when it appeared no tickets were available anywhere…AND provide a charming fun knowledgeable guide (Melissa)…for a group of 7. We also got a wedding proposal in the group which added to the fun. Thank you Daniel for making this possible!
I joined this tour on June 2, 2025. While Daniel was helpful in arranging the booking, he was unable to attend for valid reasons and sent a replacement guide named Alejandro. Unfortunately, Alejandro lacked even the most basic knowledge about the palace and its history. He was unable to answer our questions accurately and contributed almost nothing beyond walking with the group. It felt more like we were exploring on our own with another tourist rather than being led by a professional guide. As a tour guide, I would rate Alejandro 2 out of 10 — the 2 points solely for punctuality and a pleasant demeanor. However, that’s where the positives end. This was, without a doubt, the most disappointing tour experience I’ve had. I left the palace having learned nothing new, which defeats the purpose of joining a guided tour. I strongly do not recommend this tour.

Unfortunately, we cannot control every aspect of what happens inside the monuments, and we have to trust in the professionalism, knowledge, and passion of the guides we collaborate with. That said, we only work with certified professionals — people we have known and worked with for many years, and who come highly recommended by other trusted partners and clients. It’s also important to point out that to enter these monuments and conduct a tour, you must be an officially licensed guide, which requires extensive study and rigorous qualifications. Alejandro has consistently received excellent feedback from other guests. We did speak with him regarding your tour, and he mentioned that from the start, your main interest seemed to be having thousands of photos taken at every location (which he gladly did), and that you appeared less interested or engaged when he tried to share historical or cultural information. Amazing tour! The tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable with perfect English (great since our Spanish is minimal!). The small group size was wonderful - we learned and appreciated so much more than we would have walking through on our own but were not part of a big mob and could hear our guide well. The palace is fascinating and beautiful . The peacocks were a highlight . Daniel and his team did a phenomenal job of getting our tickets organized at the last minute. Thank you!

Jose who accompanied us on this wonderful journey inside the Alcázar is a very knowledgeable guide, but above all he tells you the story so that you can enter inside this journey. We had an amazing time at the Real Alcazar of Seville. There was no ticket available and we were so worried that we won't be able to see it, but Daniel did his magic and found tickets for us. Throughout the process he was communicative and helpful. Lara, our tour guide, was the first class. She was so professional and knowledgeable about the history, architecture and culture. We learned so much and appreciated the Alcazar even more. All of our additional questions around Spanish history and culture were thoroughly answered. We were so impressed! It was definitely the highlight of our entire trip!
