Onze kenmerkende wandeling beslaat 500 jaar geschiedenis over een afstand van 2 km in 2,5 uur. Het begint waar de eerste Europeanen de stad binnenkwamen en eindigt waar de laatste Britse soldaten vertrokken. Begrijp tijdens deze wandeling hoe de stad groeide van een vissers- en boerendorp tot de moderne metropool die het vandaag is.

Walking at leisurely pace through the bylanes in Dhobi Talao area on a Saturday evening transported us back to different era for a short span. It started with Mumbai's oldest bakery Kyani & Co where got a taste of bun maska sweet irani chai mutton samosas pattice ...this was followed by Kerawala's Paris Bakery, Parsi Dairy Farm where we again had rounds of tasting sessions. Bought some khari and mawa cake from Paris bakery and they were awesome! Thorought the tour our host Parvez who kept us entertained with historical info and interesting anecdotes. Finally tour ended at Sassanian where the mutton cutlet was so tasty that even though all of us were full we still managed to do justice to it.

On 7th Jun 2026 Sunday morning I got a chance to do a the Faith Walk organised by Khaki tours and hosted/guided by Mrs.Nayana Tadvalkar. I felt the presence of historic religious places and believed or come to know about their history by nice informative discussion with the respective guidance of Mrs.Nayana. At every step around the corner of Fort streets i experienced the change in religious beliefs, their worship places, their connections or roots, their togetherness and a vision towards planning of H-shaped Bombay Island in 1800s era. I even come to know how the Mumbai great fire in year1803 made disaster and how the rehabilitation took place thereafter. I have seen worship places from temples, mosques, agyari, synagogue to churches and buddhism. The tour ends at Prince of Wales Museum or near Elphinston college where Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar studied and gave birth to New-Buddhism. Thank you. 🙏
