Je bezoekt de mooiste plekjes van Bilbao en geniet er in alle rust van. De tour is privé en de klanten reizen zonder andere mensen, alleen met de gids. U bepaalt het soort voedsel dat u wilt. De gids neemt je mee naar je accommodatie en we komen terug als de tour is afgelopen.

Loop door de oude binnenstad van de Villa de Bilbao en ken het eeuwenoude verhaal en de meest emblematische plekken. We gaan door de Zeven Straatjes en genieten van paleizen, oude kerken, de markt en de onvergelijkbare sfeer van de drukke straten.
Bezoek aan de emblematische "Basilica de Begoña" wanneer de "amatxu" van het Biskaje-volk zich bevindt. Vol geschiedenis en bedevaartsoorden en feestelijke momenten.
De Alhondiga is een oud wijnpakhuis omgebouwd tot een modern en spectaculair, multicultureel centrum. De eerste indruk bij het betreden van het interieur is er een van ongeloof en verbazing over het architecturale wonder dat erin is gehuisvest. Prachtige plek!
We steken dit prachtige plein over, het centrum van de Villa de Bilbao, en gaan door een deel van de Gran Vía, de echte ruggengraat van de Villa.
Tijdens een rondleiding door de Ria del Nervión genieten we van het beste uitzicht buiten dit beroemde museum. Indrukwekkende architectuur aangeboden door dit prachtige gebouw van titanium, steen en glas. Gebouwd door Frank Ghery is de authentieke architect geweest van de renovatie van Bilbao.
Na een wandeling langs de monding en het oversteken van de Calatrava-brug, gaan we naar de Artxanda-kabelbaan die ons in een paar minuten naar het uitkijkpunt Artxanda brengt. Vanaf deze plek kunnen we Bilbao in al zijn pracht zien.

Our guide José, a native of Bilbao, was able to convey the essence of his town through his knowledge, experiences, and his journey as a guide. Despite the rain, we were able to explore the entire city, its streets and iconic monuments, its history, and the warmth of its people. 100% recommended!

It was boiling hot during our tour in Bilbao, but we forged ahead as Jose showed us all of Bilbao and gave us a very thorough and thoughtful introduction to the city. He recommended a wonderful restaurant which we enjoyed very much. Would very much recommend. Thanks Jose for sharing with us the city we have come to love!

What an amazing day we had exploring the fantastic city of Bilbao with our guide Jose. We covered an impressive 14km in this relaxed yet comprehensive walk that included the funicular and secret lift experience to views of and from the upper eschelons of Bilbao. We stopped for a delicious lunch in Casco Viajo at a restaurante organised by Jose. It was a treat to have such a passionate and informed local orientate us to this intriguing, bilingual city, the history, culture and amazing sights. When planning this trip, never did I imagine we would be walking down the streets of the Gran Via singing songs of the Pogues with our guide (Jose is an avid fan as are we). We also appreciated the insights provided by Jose on our upcoming trip to Picos de Europa. Eskerrik asko Jose!!!

When we arrived in Bilbao we were warmly greeted by Jose. He took us everywhere and not just to the tourist sections but to other beautiful neighborhoods. Jose was absolutely wonderful...extremely patient, thoroughly explained all the highlights of this charming city. Jose made our visit to Bilbao incredible. Jose was an outstanding guide. He showed us all the great sites plus he was helpful in navigating a very large soccer crowd on this day. You could not ask for a nicer and more accommodating guide. My wife has mobility challenges and our guide was very mindful of them.

We really enjoyed our private guided walking tour with Jose. He really knows the city of Bilbao and it's history. He took us to an authentic Basque restaurant where we tried food from the region. I was able to take lots of pictures without feeling rushed. We were very fortunate that we had a sunny warm day in December, could not have planned the day any better.
