Je wordt opgehaald bij elk hotel in het stadsgebied van Bangkok en vertrekt vanuit Bangkok naar Ayutthaya.
Het grote Boeddhabeeld met bronzen zit of Phra Mongkhon Bophit is een van de grootste bronzen Boeddha-afbeeldingen in Thailand met zijn 9,5 meter over de schoot en een hoogte van 12,5 meter. Het Boeddha beeld zit in de positie van Subduing Mara. Tijdens de tweede val van Ayutthaya werden het gebouw en het beeld zwaar verwoest door vuur. Het huidige beeld van Vihara en Boeddha is gereconstrueerd en gerenoveerd tijdens het bewind van koning Rama V. Het open gebied ten oosten van de Vihara was vroeger Sanam Luang, waar koninklijke crematieplechtigheden plaatsvonden.
Deze ooit uitstekende hoofdstad, de meesterbrein op 80 km van Ayutthaya, werd platgewalst door de Burmese outfitted-macht in 1767 en is momenteel een UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Een groot aantal paleizen, tempels en chedi staan er nog. In 1782 veranderde Ayutthaya in de hoofdstad van Thailand. De belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden smelten de enorme bronzen beelden van Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit, bovendien Wat Phra Sri Sanphet en Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon.
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is gelegen op het stadseiland in het werelderfgoedpark van Ayutthaya in het subdistrict Pratu Chai. Het is sinds 5 maart 1935 geregistreerd als een nationale historische site door het Ministerie van Schone Kunsten. Dit klooster was de belangrijkste tempel van Ayutthaya en bevindt zich op het terrein van het Grand Palace. Het diende als een model voor de Tempel van de Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.
Wat Lokaya Sutha, "de tempel van de aarde", bevindt zich in de buurt van de noordwestpunt van het historische eiland in de buurt van het oude koninklijke paleis en Wat Phra Si Sanphet. Hoogtepunt van het klooster is zijn 42 meter lange liggende Boeddha-afbeelding, meestal gedrapeerd in oranje doek. Afgezien van de centrale prang die in redelijk goede staat verkeert, blijft er vandaag weinig meer over dan de basis van de hoofdgebouwen.
Wat Mahathat (Tempel van de Grote Overblijfselen) ligt bijna precies in het centrum van Ayutthaya. Behalve dat het het symbolische centrum was waar de relikwieën van de Boeddha waren verankerd, was Wat Mahathat ook de residentie van de Opperste Patriarch of leider van de Thais Boeddhistische monniken. De tempel wordt verondersteld te zijn gebouwd in de 14de eeuw na Christus (de vroege Ayutthaya-periode).
Een van de belangrijkste tempels in Ayutthaya, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon heeft een lange en illustere geschiedenis. En in tegenstelling tot veel van de andere oude vindplaatsen in Ayutthaya, is dit nog steeds een actieve tempel waar monniken verblijven. Thaise mensen bezoeken Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon om niet alleen respect te betuigen aan Boeddha, maar ook om eer te bewijzen aan een van de meest gerespecteerde koningen in de Thaise geschiedenis, koning Naresuan de Grote.

Aey was our guide and she was absolutely amazing!! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. If you have the chance, I would absolutely reccomend signing up for this tour. Definitely our favorite day of the trip so far!!
Guide was very informative and very funny. The tour was a great experience over all. The temples were beautiful. I did not have small enough bills when entering the temples for them to give change so the guide was kind enough to cover my admission fees until I could repay him at the end of the tour.
Despite the afternoon heat, the tour was fantastic! Our guide, Aey, and driver were attentive and considerate throughout the entire experience. She even bought us drinks a few times to help us cool down. With the flexibility of our private tour, we were able to spend as much time as we wanted at each site. Our driver, Mr. Kit (forgive me if I have misspelled his name), expertly navigated the traffic both in and out of Bangkok. The ride to Ayutthaya was smooth and comfortable, without any jerky movements. We enjoyed a delicious meal at an open-air restaurant. Since we finished the tour a bit early, Aey graciously offered a shopping stop, but we chose to head back to the hotel to escape the heat. Thank you, Aey and Mr. Kit!
A nice tour with Sophie as our guide. Sophie was good at explaining things and at times perhaps went overboard. All well intentioned, but may be good give the clients some breathing room. We also had an excellent driver whose name we don’t recall, but she was resourceful negotiating traffic and safe.
I had a an amazingly pleasant day with my tour guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind and thoughtful. She chose a restaurant where I was able to try savory Thai food and the best butterfly pea drink. It was quite hot and humid during our tour, and she was cognizant of the heat and provided me water and fruit. She’s a star!

Wonderful day in Ayutthaya on our private tour with Aey. She and the driver picked us up at our hotel and drove us north of Bangkok. We spent the day touring the ancient city while earning the history. Great lunch at a local restaurant and a tour of the palace. Aey was very knowledgeable of the city and it's rich history. Highly recommended if you wish to avoid large groups and have a customized experience.

I tried to send a confirmation email the day before, but I was picked up at the wrong hotel. Therefore, I waited at the hotel entrance for an hour. Tour companies are not responding well to phone calls. The tour drivers were very friendly and responsive. He was a good driver and accepted our wishes. The restaurants I was introduced to were clean, staff friendly, affordable and tasted good. I finished my Ayutthaya sightseeing ahead of schedule, so on my way back to Bangkok, I stopped at a fake floating market and elephant stand for tourists, even though I hadn't asked. A 10-minute boat ride through dirty, smelly ponds costs 200 baht per person. It's high boring and the worst attraction of child deception. You shouldn't go.

Our driver picked us up on time at the hotel and the ride went smoothly. We visited all the planned temples and were even able to visit one or two more. Visits have adapted to our pace. Only small downside: the recommended restaurant was not good. Extremely comfortable car for 2 (mini van)
