Beschrijving
De tour begint meestal met een pick-up van je hotel in Kusadasi of Selcuk en een rit naar de oude stad Priene, die op ongeveer een uur rijden ligt. Priene was in de oudheid een belangrijke stad van de Ionische Liga en heeft een goed bewaard gebleven theater, tempels en een bouleterion (raadshuis). Na Priene rijd je naar de oude stad Milete, een van de grootste steden in het oude Anatolië. Hier zie je het indrukwekkende theater, de agora, het Nymphaeum en het Bath-Gymnasium-complex. Je bezoekt ook het Miletus Museum om de artefacten te zien die tijdens de opgravingen zijn ontdekt. De laatste stop op de tour is Didyma, een religieus heiligdom gewijd aan de god Apollo. Het hoogtepunt van deze site is de Tempel van Apollo, een van de grootste en meest indrukwekkende tempels in de antieke wereld. Didyma - In de oudheid was Didyma via een heilige weg met Miletos verbonden. We bezoeken de ruïnes van de tempel van Apollo, een van de grootste tempels uit de Helenistische periode. Ondanks de uitgebreide constructie werd de tempel nooit volledig voltooid.
Miletos - Deze oude ruïnes liggen op een heuvel in de buurt van de Egeïsche Zee. U kunt het oude theater verkennen, gebouwd rond de 4e eeuw voor Christus. Het theater kon meer dan 15.000 toeschouwers herbergen. Daarna bezoeken we het goed bewaarde bad van Faustina, vernoemd naar de vrouw van Marcus Aurelius, die hun constructie bestelde.
Na het ontbijt bereiken we Priene. Priene, speelt zich dramatisch af aan de voet van een steile bergwand. Priene kijkt uit over de toepasselijk genaamde rivier de Meander. Deze 2500 jaar oude Ionische stad was een van de eersten met een raster van straten.

We loved our tour to Preine, Miletus and Temple of Apollo. Our guide Yesra was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure our tour was the best. The Ruins were amazing and not crowded, allowing us to really understand the ancient history and visualize the past. Lunch was yummy.

Excellent experience with the sites and the tour guide. She explained the history well, answered questions and gave us time at each site to wander and take pictures :) Since fewer tourists come to these sites, you'll have a more intimate experience and the pictures, in my opinion, are better because there are so few people in them if any!

Great tour of the most beautiful ruins of Turkey. I went for the third time, very pleased with the guide - a girl named Arzu. Professional guide with 12 years of experience, knows a lot about the country. The trip was very interesting, Arzu tells in a fascinating way, with a lot of details. Gave free time, but would like more. At my request, along the way we stopped at all the places where we wanted to take pictures.

Fantastic experience! This tour is a hidden gem. Fewer tourists makes it feel like you rented the whole place. The guide was knowledgeable, prompt and personable. In particular, the Temple of Apollo was incredible. Some of the best photos we have are from there.
