Pride Tours NYC's wandeltocht is een NYC Pride Partner. Volg de meest uitgebreide tour in New York City die de geschiedenis van de Stonewall-opstand en de opkomst van onze moderne LGBTQ Pride Movement vertelt. Deze tour begint in Christopher Park en stopt bij The Stonewall Inn en alle andere sites van historische LGBTQ-betekenis - terwijl je gids het verhaal vertelt van de geschiedenis van onze LGBTQ-gemeenschap vóór de opstand, het account van The Stonewall Uprising, de geschiedenis van de onmiddellijke nasleep, en de opkomst van Pride! Een deel van de opbrengst van deze tour wordt gedoneerd aan Heritage of Pride.

Je ontmoet je gids in Christopher Park. Je gids vertelt het overzicht van de LGBTQ-geschiedenis in de VS en New York City in de aanloop naar de Stonewall-opstand.
In The Stonewall Inn vertelt je gids het verslag van de vroege ochtenduren van 28 juni 1969 in The Stonewall Inn/Greenwich Village en de dagen daarna, het verslag van The Stonewall Uprising.

Bij het Gay Liberation Monument vertelt je gids de geschiedenis van LGBTQ-rechten en politiek in de VS sinds de Stonewall-opstand. En je gids vertelt ook de geschiedenis van het Gay Liberation Monument.

I loved this tour and learned so much about the history of the pride movement and its early pioneers.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave a great tour. Tour was very interesting and, at times, moving. It was great going to the Stonewall Inn Visitor Center to purchase souvenirs.

This tour is well-worth attending if you want to find out more about the LGBTQI+ social history in New York City. It takes only a couple of hours and you are shown all the key locations in Greenwich Village, including the Stonewall Centre, Christopher Park and a couple of the gay bars. Joe, the guide (and owner of this tour), is (rightfully-so!) a passionate advocate of the local gay scene. My husband and I had a relaxing drink at Julius' Bar afterwards to think about the lengths of those that were here before us went to that allow us to live our lives freely now.
This tour was phenomenal. Joe is so incredibly knowledgeable and a fabulous tour guide. I learned so much about a city I have lived in my whole life
