We beginnen ons avontuur door je op te halen bij je hotel of op de eerder afgesproken plek, waarna we naar Xochimilco gaan, een plek vol vreugde en feesten, waar je de echte Mexicaanse essentie kunt voelen. Onder begeleiding van mariachi's zullen we genieten van een ritje op een trajinera door de grachten van deze prachtige plek. Daarna gaan we naar de kleurrijke wijk Coyoacán, waar je een heerlijke warme chocolademelk kunt proeven, vergezeld van een churro. Daarnaast bezoeken we het Blauwe Huis van Frida Kahlo, waar je de kans krijgt om meer te weten te komen over het leven en de nalatenschap van deze iconische Mexicaanse kunstenaar. Wie naar Mexico is gekomen en niet door Xochimilco is gegaan, is omdat ze er nooit zijn geweest. We zullen een ongelooflijk moment van Mexicaans feest doorbrengen, we zullen de kanalen van Xochimilco verkennen in de klassieke trajineras, tijdens onze tour zullen we genieten van muziek en mariachi. Het wordt zeker een magisch moment.
Onze tweede stop is Coyoacán, we gaan door Café el jarocho, een van de meest karakteristieke cafetaria's in Mexico, zeker dat je hier de essentie van de plek zult voelen, we zullen koffie drinken met een rijke en heerlijke Mexicaanse churro. We zullen de wandeling door Coyoacán doen, we zullen de geschiedenis van de plek vertellen, het is een plek waar kunst en kleur deze plek tot een plek maken om verliefd op te worden.
We bezoeken het huis van Frida Kahlo, waar we de hele geschiedenis van de plek ontdekken. Frida is van nature een symbool van Mexico; Zijn werken zijn generaties lang bewaard gebleven. Paola and Jesus were amazing. They provided great info, comfort and an all around good time
This trip was well worth it! Xochomilco was so beautiful, and since this tour was earlier in the day it didn’t feel crowded. As for our guide Paola she was so sweet, funny and well informed. Traveling as a queer couple we felt very safe and welcomed by her.
Roberto Fernandez was a fabulous tour guide for the day. Communication prior to the tour for pick up was excellent. We started by stopping at the University- gorgeous campus then the Tetitla Foundation - wish there was time to eat a meal at this beautiful location. Xochimilco was so much fun - colorful boats, flowers, Mariachi bands and relaxing on our private boat! Next we walked around Coyoacán - had delicious pastor tacos and ice cream. Will come back to this area to explore more - restaurants and shops! Final stop was Frida Kahlo blue house. Learned and experienced much of her life in this special space. Glad we did a private tour today. Fabulous tour guide- even dropped us off at Chapultepec Park for further exploration! Thanks for a great day, Roberto!!
