Ophalen in de lobby bij centraal gelegen hotels of appartementen. Ontmoetingspunt cruisehaven: Deur # 12. Ophaaltijd: 06:00 uur (dienstregelingen onder voorbehoud, te bevestigen na boeking). Tickets worden verzonden via het VIATOR-dashboard en WhatsApp als u dit tijdens het boeken hebt aangegeven. Als je ze niet hebt ontvangen, neem dan contact met ons op. Nadat onze chauffeur u heeft afgezet bij de haven van Buenos Aires, hoeft u alleen maar naar de incheckbalie van de veerbootmaatschappij te gaan en uw paspoort of geldig identiteitsbewijs voor deze internationale reis te tonen. Er kunnen ook kaartjes worden aangevraagd. Laat ze dan printen of op je mobiel zetten. U krijgt de instapkaart en gaat via migraties naar boven en neemt vervolgens de boot naar Montevideo. Bij aankomst in Montevideo, UY, nadat u door de bagagecontrole bent gegaan, vindt u de uitgangspoort. Buiten de terminal moet je op zoek gaan naar de bussen met de naam van de veerbootmaatschappij en opdagen om de stadstour te starten. Als u ze niet kunt vinden, probeer dan contact op te nemen met het personeel van de veerboot in de terminal of vraag het personeel aan boord voor eventuele vragen voordat u het schip verlaat. Vervolgens informeert de gids u over de tijden en het ontmoetingspunt op elke plaats en brengt u terug naar de terminal, zodat u uw boot terug kunt nemen die om 19.30 uur vertrekt. (dienstregelingen voor uw terugreis kunnen worden gewijzigd, te bevestigen na boeking en in de tickets). Voor uw terugreis dient u in te checken bij de balie van de veerbootmaatschappij, uw instapkaart te halen en de migraties te doorlopen en vervolgens de boot terug te nemen. U kunt de vertrektijd controleren op de tickets die we hebben verzonden of ons raadplegen of het personeel van de veerboot vragen zodra u aankomt in Montevideo. Als je eenmaal terug bent in Buenos Aires en na migraties, zal onze chauffeur op je wachten met een bordje met je naam erop om je naar het startpunt te brengen.

The independence Square, El Teatro, El restaurante were great but the guide didn't translate all the Spanish information so hopefully I can understand a bit of Spanish. This is an expensive 1-day trip $700, and I felt a bit disappointed by the limited sights of Montevideo. It was still a very interesting place to visit.

This is the first time I write a poor review. It is not based on our wonderful tour conductor María, but on how poor the tour selections were made by the operator. Let’s start with nobody should be subjected to a tour like this in one day! Both ship journeys were substantially delayed, with long immigration lines, and no service. The day started at 0545 pickup and ended at midnight. After arriving past 11:30am to Montevideo and were shuffled into a bus, we were shown a couple of places. Maria the conductor was the only thing nice of this tour. We spent two hours at lunch (average food). Then we proceeded to few more places to visit. Last, they dropped us of for a 1.5 hours stop to a mall! So a total of 3.5 hours wasted which we could have used to visit more sites. We were dropped off at 5:30pm at the port and waited until almost 8:00pm to depart. Then waited an hour to cross immigration. So for a total of 5.5 hours in Montevideo, only 2 ish hours were related to touring the city. And a total of 17 hour day! You do the math. Bottom line, you need at least one overnight in Montevideo. By the way, I had no idea we were stopping so long for lunch or shopping at all. Paid over $300USD. Not good.

The transfer to and from the hotel was excellent. The boat passage was good as can be expected. The tour guide was okay. Restaurant for lunch mediocre. Bus was fine. The choice of shopping at a mall at the end was poor. Should have been at a place more unique to Uruguay.

We spent half of the morning between our transfer in Buenos Aires and our trip to Montevideo. Upon our arrival, we took one of the buses outside the port terminal and started the tour. Our guide Ana was very kind. She had a great knowledge of the history of the areas we visited and a good grasp of English. We made a couple of stops at the historic district and the main spots. Next, we had lunch at "EL FOGON" Restaurant and visited Montevideo Shopping and had some spare time on our own. The return was smooth. Locals were very nice, too.
