Pre-Spaanse dranktour in Mexico-Stad
Beschrijving
Ontdek tijdens deze rondleiding door de wijk Roma de smaken, rituelen en geheimen van Mexicaanse pre-Spaanse dranken. We beginnen bij een traditionele pulquería, waar u meer leert over pulque, "de drank van de goden", een drank met een diepe culturele en voorouderlijke identiteit. Hier kun je ook een paar danspasjes leren... of oefenen als je de bewegingen al kunt. Daarna wandelen we door de charmante straten van Rome. Onderweg stoppen we om te genieten van een snack op basis van maïs, een heilig ingrediënt in het Meso-Amerikaanse wereldbeeld. Onze wandeling gaat verder naar een heel bijzondere plek, waar u een drankje proeft dat is geïnspireerd op de kleuren van de Mexicaanse vlag. We delen spelletjes, legendes en leuke activiteiten die je in contact brengen met het oude Mexico. Voor degenen die het avontuur willen voortzetten, bieden we een optionele eindstop aan: een verborgen bar, waar u zult ontdekken dat zelfs chilipepers een plekje hebben in Mexicaanse cocktails.

We ontmoeten elkaar in dit kleine park, tegenover het standbeeld van Alexander Poesjkin.
Op deze plek maken we kennis met een heel bijzondere pulquería, waar u, als u dat wilt, uw beste dansmoves kunt laten zien onder begeleiding van een liveband; Als dansen niet jouw ding is, kun je naar de band luisteren en zien hoe de dansers de dansvloer overnemen. Ik verzeker je dat je het wilt leren!
We wandelen door de straten van Colonia Roma Norte, waar we de gelegenheid hebben om te stoppen en de beroemde esquites te proeven, een heerlijke snack die je niet mag missen als je in Mexico bent.
Hierna gaan we naar een andere pulquería, maar deze keer concentreren we ons op een ander drankje: mezcal.
Tot slot laten we u een mezcaleria zien die u meeneemt naar het Mexico van vóór de Spaanse overheersing. Hier eindigt onze tour.

The tour was an unexpected mix of stories and flavors that surprised me. It’s not the typical tourist experience: you should be open to trying new things and doing different things. And I definitely recommend it for when you are in Mexico City!

I had such a great time on this tour! It was a unique and fun way to explore the city — we visited hidden spots I wouldn’t have found on my own and got to taste some amazing local food and drinks. The guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, sharing cool facts and stories about the neighborhoods we walked through. The atmosphere felt very local and relaxed. Totally recommend this tour if you want to see a different and authentic side of Mexico City.

I've lived in Mexico City on and off the last 13 years and Leti took me to unique places I've never been before that are literally right in my neighborhood. The pulque place was a super locals only place with live salsa music, dancing, and a punk rock vibe. We played a great card game at the tequila stop and the mezcal place at the end was absolutely divine.

I really enjoyed the tour! It was a very complete experience; I had the opportunity to try pulque, mezcal and tequila. I also tried skis and chapulines 🦗. The atmosphere was very authentic, especially with the live band playing and people dancing. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable experience!
