Doe mee aan een halve dagtour naar de beroemde Pachacamac-tempel, op slechts korte afstand van Lima. Gebouwd door verschillende leiders door de eeuwen heen en tussen de jaren 200 en 1450 na Chr., Is deze religieuze compound volledig gemaakt van klei en herbergt de gigantische piramides van de zon en de maan. Deze uitgebreide sightseeingtour geeft u inzicht in de cultuur, geschiedenis en architectuur van zowel de Inca- als de pre-Inca-bevolking.

We zullen het archeologische heiligdom van Pachacamac bezoeken, op slechts 30 km. ten zuiden van Lima. Het werd gebouwd in adobe met uitzicht op de zee en de vallei van de rivier de Lurin.

Bij aankomst van de Inca's werd het complex aangepast om een administratief centrum te worden, met respect voor en aanpassing van de lokale constructies. Je vindt er onder andere de Tempel van de Zon, de Acllahuasi, het Paleis van Tarichumbi en het Pelgrimsplein. We zullen ook het Site Museum bezoeken om een beter inzicht te krijgen en de geborgen overblijfselen van het gebied te waarderen. De enorme tempels van de zon en de maan staan bekend als de meest opvallende kenmerken van het complex. Volledig gebouwd van klei, werden naar schatting 50 miljoen in de zon gedroogde stenen gebruikt bij de bouw van de Tempel van de Zon alleen. Opgravingen in het gebied blijven verdere inzichten onthullen in de Moche- en Huari-culturen die de periode van 200 tot 800 na Christus overspannen.

This was a great tour and learned so much about the Pre-Inca culture! The site is massive and highly recommended this tour to help you understand all the sites in the sanctuary. But to really make the trip memorable, request Mario! He was so knowledgeable and presented the information with such passion that you were captivated the entire time!
