Wij halen u op bij uw accommodatie waar dan ook in Praag tussen 07.45 uur en 08.15 uur.
Op weg naar het nationale park passeert u de stad Decin met zijn grote kasteel dat hoog boven de Elbe op een rotsklif staat. Historische stad Decin wordt ook wel "de toegangspoort tot het Boheemse Zwitserland" genoemd.
De tour neemt je mee naar het meest iconische hoogtepunt van het Tsjechische Zwitserland NP: de stenen boog van de Pravcicka-poort.
Als beloning voor je inspanningen om de Pravcicka-poort te bereiken, verwelkomt dit iconische monument je gehuld in een deken van sneeuw die doet denken aan een wonderland. Bereik geweldige uitzichtpunten, wandel rond unieke zandsteenformaties en profiteer tijdens het winterseizoen van de drukte op dit beroemde natuurgebied.
De volgende stop is een smakelijke á-la-cartelunch in een lokaal restaurant "U Forta", gelegen in het hart van het nationale park Bohemian Switzerland, Tsjechië. Je kunt alles hebben van het menu, een hoofdgerecht en een drankje. Geweldige vegetarische en veganistische opties zijn inbegrepen. Het restaurant is een uitstekende keuze voor fijnproevers en veel reizigers waarderen het beter dan sommige restaurants in Praag. Lokaal bier van de tap is Cvikov een uitstekende keuze.
Op weg naar de Bastei-brug rijdt u door het lokale kuuroord Bad Schandau met zijn historische plein en oude houten huizen. Een echt lokale stad die typisch is voor het gebied.
Nu is het tijd om de grens over te steken naar de Duitse kant - het Nationaal Park Sächsische Schweiz en richting Bastei te lopen, een iconische rotsformatie, een middeleeuws fort en een stenen brug hoog boven de rivier de Elbe. Een gemakkelijke wandeling brengt u naar de belangrijkste uitkijkpunten met uitzicht op de diepste kloof ter wereld: de Elbe-kloof met op de achtergrond tafelbergen bedekt met sneeuw. Als je geluk hebt, kun je bij mooi weer aan het eind van de dag zelfs een aantal prachtige zonsondergangen bewonderen.
Meestal komen we tussen 18.00 uur terug in Praag. tot 19.00 uur, afhankelijk van het tempo van de tour. We brengen u veilig terug naar uw accommodatie in Praag na een spannende dag vol met de mooiste landschappen van de natuur.

The tour was great and kept a nice pace! Got to see a lot of cool stuff we wouldn’t have seen otherwise, and Pavla was a wonderful guide!
We had a great time with Ondrej. He was through when explaining everything we were seeing and also added in relevant history. We never felt rushed and he always offered to take pictures, which was very much appreciated! I also really enjoyed our lunch. Delicious!

Martin did an incredible job on this tour! We were picked up promptly at our hotel and the drive to the Pravcicka Gate felt short since Martin drove us by the beautiful Elba River and he told us so much about the Czech Republic's history. Probably learned as much about the country's history and culture from him as we did on both of our two walking tours this weekend combined. On the trails, Martin kept up a good pace and kept the group together, and brought us to two of the most beautiful and unique places in the area, the Pravcicka Gate and Bastei Bridge. We had time to take lots of photos at both sites and enjoy the gorgeous views. Also did some birdwatching and learned more about the animals in the area from Martin. Everything was taken care of ahead of time, and the tour even included a great lunch between stops. Overall, a great experience I would definitely recommend!

I can't recommend this tour enough! We had an excellent day out with fellow travellers and our tour guide, Lenka, who was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable that she made it the perfect day. We were very lucky to have sunshine and snow on the ground, which was magical, as if we had arrived in Narnia itself! The lunch was also excellent, as were the mulled wine/tea and snacks provided. It was also so convenient to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel. We loved it and highly recommend it!

We booked this tour through Viator. Our guide, Martin was absolutely amazing! It was one of the best adventures we’ve been on. Northern Hikes is the best! Wish I could give them more stars.
