Verken de duizend tempels in Prambanan klinkt misschien erg vermoeiend. Niet alleen duizend tempels die kunnen worden verkend met een legendarische geschiedenis, de zonsondergang kon ook worden genoten terwijl je vermoeide geest losliet. Na het genieten van de zonsondergang, kunnen we je meenemen naar het heerlijke traditionele eten van Yogyakarta. De reis is niet alleen hier. Als je naar Prambanan gaat, is het niet compleet als je niet naar Ramayana Ballet kijkt. Na het diner nemen we je mee naar deze uitvoeringen. Gebaseerd op een episch hindoe-gedicht, werd het verhaal van koning Rama aangepast om een belangrijke lokale dans te worden, die de Javaanse stijl, cultuur en muziek omvat. Hoewel het verhaal in India is ontstaan, is de Javaanse versie een vertegenwoordiger van de lokale kunst en cultuur. De show begon 's avonds wanneer de lucht donker wordt. Het betrekken van honderden professionele dansers en muzikanten op een openluchtpodium dat profiteert van de Prambanan-tempels als achtergrond.

This was the fourth trip that we booked with trip advisor in 15 days time. 2 water in Seoul. It was very well organised with English speaking guide etc. We were very disappointed with this Prambanan trip. The driver did not speak a word of English. There was no guide from your side or even there at the temple. We had to tag along with another guide after requesting permission from them. Horrible experience.

We went to the Prambanan Temple complex in July 2023. FYI, security will kick you out at sunset so don’t get too comfy with a nice spot at Prambanan or Sewu temples. Later attended the Ramayanan Ballet. We bought Class1 seats (second cheapest) and the seats were fabulous. Was really interesting and the end of the first scene was something else (you’ll have to go to find out why). Definitely recommend the two experiences. BTW- if you’re looking for somewhere to eat before the show, go to the convenience shop across the road from the ballet entry and there’s a little eatery attached to it. The meals were cheap 10-15Rp and delicious!

Of course it is the second choice of Yogyakarta, but it is well organised and clean. It is 2 hours to walk around in nice enviroment.
