Very insightful with a lovely knowledgeable guide a great experience you should not miss.
Sarah was very informative and enthusiastic. She included myth, symbolism, history, sociology and politics.
At around 8:00 p.m. (20:00) the night before the tour the company contacted me saying they were unable to perform the tour at the agreed upon time because of “capacity restrictions.” This suggests to me that even after paying, you have not guaranteed yourself a spot. Have a backup plan.
Our tour guide Sara was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the highlights of the museum!
Sara was such a great guide! She showed us around the museo del Prado in a really natural and engaging way, sharing interesting stories about the artworks without making it feel like a typical museum tour. She’s super knowledgeable, friendly, and you can really tell she enjoys what she does. The time flew by, and I definitely left the museum seeing the art in a completely different way. We did not receive any communication from the tour operator before the tour as I was used to with other tours. We were 20 minutes late as we had trouble getting a wheelchair Uber. The tour had already left and we were told there was nothing they could do. We couldn’t even get the tickets just to go inside so I was out 250 Euro. I did not see any communication that this could be a possibility but I did not read the fine print. They rescheduled us for what I thought they said was a 30 Euro fee but when we arrived it was 30 Euro per person, I assume for the new tickets. My nephew and I did the tour and the guide was very good. My kids were cranky at this point so they went out on their own with my wife. The meeting point is across the plaza from the museum so make sure you get that restaurant early in order to not lose out on your tickets.
