Ga met ons mee op een onvergetelijke en unieke ecologische fietstocht door Namibië. Voel de frisse lucht van de kustgebieden, neem de stilte en het adembenemende landschap van de oudste woestijn ter wereld in u op terwijl u door de beroemde duinen van Namibië fietst. U maakt gegarandeerd plezier tijdens deze onvergetelijke en unieke fietstocht. Een must-see in Swakopmund voor natuurliefhebbers en voor avonturiers die de adrenaline door hun aderen willen voelen stromen. Geen lucht- en geluidsoverlast en sporen die nog lichter zijn dan voetafdrukken. Fat Bike Touring is de meest milieuvriendelijke manier om de gevoelige omgeving van onze woestijn te verkennen.

Tijdens onze Scenic Desert Tour ervaar je de oudste woestijn ter wereld op een dikke fiets. Bij aankomst op ons kantoor wordt u uitgerust met een fatbike op uw maat en helm. Na een korte briefing vertrekken we op onze fietsen vanuit het centrum naar de Swakop rivierbedding, door onze historische stad. Zodra we de rand van de stad bereiken, dalen we af naar de droge rivierbedding waar de woestijnervaring begint. Niet lang en we beginnen aan onze eerste duin. Vanaf hier brengen we ongeveer een uur door in de duinen, waar je de sensatie zult ervaren van het rijden langs de beroemde Namib-duinen, inclusief enkele optionele adrenaline-pompende afdalingen voor de avontuurlijke types. De gids zal ook enkele interessante feiten delen over de woestijn en het enorme leven in de schijnbaar levenloze omgeving. Het is echt een levende woestijn. De tour eindigt met een rit langs de droge rivierbedding richting kust en als het tij het toelaat, rijden sommigen langs het strand terug naar het kantoor. Een once in lifetime ervaring.

- Opties voor openbaar vervoer zijn in de buurt aanwezig
- Reizigers moeten ten minste een gemiddelde conditie hebben
- Minimale leeftijd: Het hangt af van uw lengte en fitnessniveau, maar u moet ongeveer 2 uur achter elkaar en een totale afstand van 14 km kunnen fietsen. Hierbij moet u ook enkele duinen op en af kunnen fietsen. Onze kleine fatbike is perfect voor kinderen vanaf 7 jaar oud.
- Maximale leeftijd: Afhankelijk van conditie. Moet 2 uur kunnen fietsen zonder te stoppen en daarbij ook duinen op en af fietsen.

We had an awesome bike tour with Costa. I was initially nervous about riding on the dunes, but Costa was so kind and encouraging that I quickly felt at ease. We were also impressed with Costa’s knowledge of the flora and fauna; during a short break, he noticed tiny lizard tracks and was able to lead us to the lizard’s hiding place under a bush. The landscapes in the desert are stunning and the ride along the beach back to the rental shop was a great way to conclude the tour. Highly recommended!!
100% recommend this experience. We did the adventure desert tour with Mark as our guide. We are experienced cyclists and Mark got the tour spot on. It was just enough exercise mixed with great views and insights on desert flora and fauna. The bikes were in good condition and the time (3 hours) was just right.

Absolutely fantastic fun and a superb guide with lots of valuable information. We had so much fun! Mix of ages from 55 to 69 and everyone managed to get to the top of the dunes. Amazing photo opportunities. Loved every minute. Thanks Costa!

Our whole experience was first rate. Booking in advance with Mark was easy and he communicated with us very well. The price was completely reasonable. When we got to the shop and saw the good bikes that they had for us, we knew that we'd be in for a good day. The bikes were of much higher quality than most that we have rented elsewhere in the past. The guides, Costa and Rafael, were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They made the tour so much more than a bike ride. We learned about geology, native plants and Namibian culture. Issues were quickly resolved. One of the bikes had a valve stem problem early on and the tire needed to be pumped up again. Another staff member came out within minutes with a good floor pump, and we were back on our way. This Adventure Tour is well described. It says that it is for the avid cyclist and that is right. If you are new to cycling or your fitness is not great, this tour would be a bit too hard, even on an ebike. When the uphills got too steep to ride, the guides helped us get the bikes to the top but climbing up those dunes was tough even without having to push our own bikes up. If in doubt, it would probably be best to take the shorter tour that they offer. Thank you Mark, Costa and Rafael. We've been liking Namibia so far and today we loved it.

I-N-G-O is an incredible tour guide! Very informed about the desert and the life it has - he located a lizard for us to see, that was so cool! He showed us thinks about the sand I didn’t know were possible and overall, his energy and vibe was immaculate! We are very greatful that he was so accommodating to us needing to take a million pictures. 10/10 would recommend. The experience itself was magical as well, if you’ve got the energy go for manual but if you’re here to enjoy the ride without too much hassle, the e-bikes are so worth it! Enjoy out there! Did the scenic tour with Hanjo - great route to see the desert and Hanjo was very informative and we learnt a lot about the desert as well as Swakopmund (we stumbled across a Chameleon!). One of the best ways to see the area for sure! Highly recommend
We went fat biking as part of our cycle trip with Exodus. This was the highlight of our trip so far and far exceeded my expectations. We cycled across the granite plains and right up into and over the sand dunes. It was exhilarating and fantastic fun! Our guide was really professional and extremely knowledgeable of the natural history of the area. The bikes were of a very high spec and were extremely well maintained. All in all it was a fabulous 4 hour trip.
A unique experience, a fat bike tour. You have to have done that. You get so much information and driving on the dunes is really fun and moody
A once in a lifetime experience... cycling over the dunes and on the beach, soaking up the sun of the dunes and the chill from the Atlantic. The guide was friendly and helpful. The fat bikes were suitable to make the trip pleasant.
Nice and professional guides who took very good care of our children, 10 and 12 years. The tour itself was nice but not so challenging, only two downhills.
