Praagse foodtour met een local
Beschrijving
Deze foodtour is als een geschiedenisles door eten. Ga met mij, een Praagse inwoner, en andere fijnproevers van over de hele wereld mee en laat mij je meenemen op een reis van traditioneel naar modern Tsjechisch eten. We bezoeken 4-5 verschillende pubs, restaurants, coffeeshops en bars en ik zal uitleggen waarom wij Tsjechen eten wat we eten. Ik zal praten over mijn kindertijd toen ik opgroeide in Praag, hoe ik leefde onder het communistische bewind en al je vragen beantwoorden. We zullen het ook hebben over toeristenvallen, wat je niet moet doen in Praag en ik zal je talloze tips en aanbevelingen geven, niet alleen voor Praag, maar ook voor je toekomstige reisbestemmingen. Omdat we allemaal weten hoe slecht eten je vakantie kan bederven.

We beginnen onze foodtour in de oude stad, waar we meer traditionele Tsjechische gerechten zullen eten. Tussen al het eten en drinken door lopen we naar onze volgende stop en zal ik praten over de Tsjechische geschiedenis, architectuur en mijn persoonlijke ervaringen met het leven in Tsjechië.
We bezoeken het Wenceslasplein en ik zal praten over ons communistische verleden en het democratische heden van Tsjechië. We zullen ingaan op politiek en religie, maar alleen als je erop staat en na een paar biertjes ;)
We bezoeken lokale en opkomende wijken zoals Karlin of Vinohrady en praten over het huidige leven in Praag en Tsjechië. Onder het genot van een drankje en het eten van 'guilty pleasures' bespreken we onderwijs, gezondheidszorg en zwangerschapsverlof.

Food choices were excellent and tailored to our group. He is very personable and has a strong knowledge of the culture and history, which we greatly appreciated. Martin has an expansive knowledge of food styles and preparation and can provide recommendations of places to try based on your interests and preferences. The tour felt well paced, thoughtfully organized, and gave us a much better sense of Prague beyond the typical tourist experience. We left full, learned a great deal, and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

Wonderful food tour! Martin showed us to 4 places where we enjoyed both traditional and modern Czech food and drink and ended with some coffee and dessert. Martin shared Czech history, sprinkled in current events, and he answered all our questions throughout. He was an amazing local guide with such pride for his country. Highly, highly recommend this tour. Come hungry!
We had a great time with Martin in Prague! He took us to 5 different places for traditional Czech food and beverages, while providing a lot of background and history on Czech customs. The portions were large and everything was delicious. We also walked a bit in between stops and he gave us some history and stories along the way. I highly recommend this tour!
What a stupendous tour with Martin. Martin showed us the best food and drink in Praha. We appreciated Martin's extensive knowledge of history, culture and all things culinary and his great sense of humor. Spending s day in meat-centric Praha with a butcher with as added plus. Martin took us on the most delicious food tour, highly recommend! We got to try some new things and everything was high quality. You will certainly get your money's worth and then some. Food, beer, coffee, lemonade, desserts were all so yummy. We also learned a lot about the city and its history and got to see a lot of areas. Martin went out of his way to give us lots of recommendations (and traps to avoid), he was so friendly and helpful.
