We beginnen onze reis in wat oorspronkelijk een arbeiderswijk was, die nu een van de meest trendy plekken van Praag is. De industriële charme maakt het een van de meest unieke. In de omgeving vindt u een levendige mix van alternatieve culturele centra en talloze bistro's, cafés en restaurants. De keuzes zijn eindeloos!
Een bezoek aan Libeřské lahůdky voelt als een bezoek aan uw Tsjechische grootmoeder. Dit familiebedrijf maakt al meer dan 30 jaar met passie traditionele Tsjechische taarten, sandwiches en andere delicatessen. Je gaat hun vlaggenschipproduct verslinden, waar de stad dol op is.
Deze voormalige fabriek biedt een unieke mix van industriële ruimtes met een verscheidenheid aan culturele, artistieke en gastronomische ervaringen. Onder één dak vind je een café, dansstudio, bioscoop, evenementenhal, galerie, multimediaruimte, foodtruck en een distilleerderij. Ben je klaar om te proeven?
De volgende stop brengt ons naar een voormalig slachtgebied, maar maak je geen zorgen. Wat voorheen bekend stond om zijn industriële geuren, is uitgegroeid tot het coole en hippe epicentrum van cultuur en gastronomie. Het is net het eigen Soho van Praag, doordrenkt met de industriële charme van Chicago. Bovendien is het een toeristenvrije zone, waar u kunt genieten van verse producten van lokale boeren op de grootste en meest authentieke boerenmarkt van de stad.
Waar de inwoners van Praag al tientallen jaren van dromen is nu werkelijkheid: een voetgangersbrug verbindt twee trendy wijken. De strakke, hedendaagse architectuur vormt een naadloze aanvulling op de historische skyline van Praag. Wees een van de eersten die deze brug oversteekt en misschien zelfs een snelle duik in de rivier bij het eiland Štvanice neemt?
Na een grote overstroming veranderde dit voormalige getto in de charmante wijk Karlin, nu bekend als het hol van de hipsters. En de lokale gastronomie? Gewoonweg te lekker om te weerstaan.
De Kerk van Sint Cyrillus en Methodius is een van de grootste religieuze bouwwerken uit de 19e eeuw in Tsjechië. Het werd gebouwd in het midden van de 19e eeuw en is een van de belangrijkste architectonische monumenten van de neoromaanse stijl.
In het verleden marcheerden hier honderden soldaten; Tegenwoordig is het een plek voor plezier en ontspanning. Deze kazerne is al generaties lang een favoriete plek voor bezoekers. De belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden bevinden zich op de centrale binnenplaats, met een gigantische zandbak, een openluchtbioscoop, een mini-uitkijktoren, een bar, een sauna en een beachvolleybalveld. Op de plek waar het oorspronkelijke militaire zwembad stond, vind je nu een stijlvol café. De garages zijn omgetoverd tot een muziekclub en een fantastische galerij.

We enjoyed this experience touring neighborhoods and experiencing what "life like a local" looks and feels like. The tour included stops at a local pastry shop, Prague's only distillery, busy local farmers market, local wine shop and lunch savoring local favorites. Authentic Prague Food Tour If you want to get a sampling of what the locals eat and drink in Prague and an overview of the city while you’re doing it, this tour is for you! Tomàs was an outstanding guide and we enjoyed his company as well as his expertise. This was a great beginning to our stay in Prague. Drinking wine on the sidewalk outside a local wine spot with the snow falling was a highlight!

Thomas was great, we met and we were immediately immersed in Prague's rich history and delightful delicacies. From the beer and wine to the meats, cheeses and garlic stuffed peppers, the entire time we were together was full of laughter and delight. Tomas, took us to some unique food stops and made sure we got to know a lot about traditional Czech food. He was also very knowledgeable about the culture and gave us a great insight into daily life. Great walking and food tour! We had already tried a lot of local food, but we tried new stuff and learned about its role in culture, parties, family. Tomáš was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were in a nice neighborhood but it wasn’t touristy. The whole experience felt authentic. Definitely recommend Tomáš and the experience

Tomas was a great host. We meandered from place to place trying Czech delicacies we would never have found on our own. He told us stories as an accompaniment to the food that shared the local culture and history.
