We had a fantastic time. Lovely Tapas and wine and our guide was so friendly and relaxed. We had a really good laugh and I can highly recommend this
This experience was really first class. We were met by the host right on time and guided around Faro exactly as per the description of the experience. Food was really excellent and the quality and range of wines superb - with lots of background information about the region and it's wines. The highlight was our host, Alessandra who took time to get to know our requirements and to explain things to us in a way which answered all our questions.
It was my last night before heading back to the UK, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it. Alessandro went out of her way to make the evening really special, which made it even more memorable. There was a great mix of people from different backgrounds, and everyone got along so naturally. It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food and wine were a real highlight. Alessandro introduced us to a variety of delicious tapas, thoughtfully pairing them and explaining the wines, which made the experience even more enjoyable. What stood out most was how caring and attentive she was. She made sure everyone had a great time and took extra care to ensure I had a memorable final night. At the end, she even helped me arrange an Uber and made sure I got back to my hotel safely, asking me to let her know when I arrived. A lovely experience and a perfect way to end my trip.
A great way to explore Faro and Alessandro was incredible, she took us to the best places and the tour was tailored to our needs. I would recommend for anyone arriving in Faro and wanting to know great and unknown locations to eat and drink.
We had a very nice evening with excellent tapas and good wines. Alessandro was a very good host and showed us a variety of nice restaurants in Faro. Recommended!

We were a party of 8 and not sure what to expect but the experience was absolutely amazing. Alessandra, had all of the special spots down and the wine expert at the last location was so knowledgeable. Everyone had the best time and we are still talking about it. As well, we made a new friend from the Netherlands. We highly recommend!
First of all, it was strange that we were not given venue address, but had to meet up at the church with lady who took us to the wine tasting place. Secondly, there was a personal house, not a public place, which was rather strange as well. The house was full of wine bottles so we could see that wine was the owner's passion. They said it was a guesthouse, we could see some people coming and going, however we were sat at one of the tables in a room with a view to personal garden and swimming pool along with hoshold items such as scruffy pots, sunbeds, etc. This made as feel not quite right. There was one member of staff (as we were told), lady who brought us to the guesthouse and us, 4 friends. The member of staff spoke to us about the wine, history, etc. The person was very nice and knowledgeable, but we were given some wines to taste from open/ half filled bottles; that made us feel unsafe. I was sipping wine very cautiuosly making sure I feel ok, but one of my friends was just trying a little bit of each and was not drinking just in case ( as I found out later after we left the house). We were given some bread and some different cheese to try, but the cheese looked slightly dry as if it was left uncovered for a while. I didn't notice, but my friends said the man was looking at his watch at the end so we then left the place. Basically, it was not worth £60 each, and we could not feel comfortable due to the reasons above. Complete disappointment.

Regarding the meeting point, guests are informed in advance to meet at the church to ensure easier navigation, as the guesthouse is located in a more residential area and may be harder to find directly. The host accompanying guests ensures everyone arrives comfortably and on time. We’re glad you acknowledged our team member’s knowledge and friendliness. However, we were surprised to read your comments about the wine, as the wines served were carefully selected from our collection, and none were spoiled or unsafe. Some bottles may have been previously opened that day to ensure proper aeration—a standard practice in many wine tastings. The cheeses served were traditional Portuguese selections aged 6, 9, and 12 months. As you may know, these cheeses naturally have a firmer and drier texture, which is a characteristic of their maturation, not a sign of being left out or uncovered. All cheeses and bread were fresh and served according to safety and hospitality standards. It’s also important to mention that you and your friends did eat, drink, and remained for the full duration of the tasting without expressing any discomfort or dissatisfaction at the time. We always encourage guests to share concerns during the experience so we can address them immediately. We’re truly sorry that you did not find the experience worth the price, but we assure you that many of our guests deeply enjoy the unique and personal touch of this setting—something that differs from a commercial wine bar or winery visit. Poor/no communication from Viator. I waited for 20 minutes, sent a message to the guide who responded she had cancelled the tour multiple days previously. While Viator was quick to refund my payment, why was I charged 24 hrs ahead, why did I receive an email the morning of the tour as confirmation I would have scheduled other events for my evening had I been notified even a few hours ahead.
