U ontvangt een witte keramische tegel en kunt kiezen uit een exclusieve selectie van traditionele tegelpatronen zorgvuldig geselecteerd en gedocumenteerd door ons team rechtstreeks uit de straten van Porto, die u kunt repliceren, of maak uw eigen originele ontwerp. Uw instructeur Gids u tijdens het schilderproces, waardoor het toegankelijk is voor beginners en plezierig voor alle leeftijden. Geniet tijdens de workshop van portwijn, sap, water, koffie en een selectie zoete en hartige snacks, terwijl je ontspant, gezellig bijpraat en schildert. Na de sessie neem je je handgeschilderde souvenir van je tijd in Portugal mee. This was a great activity appropriate for all ages. The instructor was knowledgeable and friendly. We had fun talking to the other participants and enjoyed the snacks, including Port wine. We would encourage anyone to try it so they can have a unique keepsake.
More involved than simply painting tiles, our girls aged 9 and 11 loved it. Great experience they'd love to repeat, designs provided or create your own!
The location is tucked slightly away from a main street where you walk into the cutest shop and they direct you downstairs to the class. You pick out a design from PLENTY of options and use contact paper to trace the design, making it perfect for even beginner artists! The instructor is super helpful and will help each person individually if he sees anyone struggling! You do have to wait around an hour after finishing to come back and pick up the baked tiles, so try not to get too far away. However, the location is super close to tons of things to do so this was not an issue. Perfect souvenirs!
We had a great experience, even as (extremely) novice painters! It was a relief to sit and do a relaxing activity after days of navigating Porto’s hills. Our instructor was lovely and helpful!
This was a pleasant experience for my friends and me. We enjoyed the painting. We were 3 of 7 people in our class. Daniella was a warm and positive instructor. We had many Portuguese tile patterns to choose from. We had some disappointment in little things. This AM class was described as providing tea and coffee as well as Port wine and water. I decided to plan to have my AM coffee during the class. There was no coffee or tea, but they did serve juice. We were also eager to have the instruction on the history of Portuguese tile and techniques used in tile making and cultural elements. These were included as a written handout only. So overall a pleasant morning with some pros and cons to this class.

What a lovely experience! We learnt about Porto and the history of the tiles, whilst painting our own. Lots of different options to chose from in terms of styles but we also could do our own design. There was no rush and we could take our time and collected our tiles the same day. Only slight issue was a late text message on Saturday night sharing the location had been switched, however when we shared this wasn’t an option for us it was no problem. What an incredible experience in Porto! This Portuguese tile painting workshop was easily one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with delicious Port wine and such a warm atmosphere. Francesca was an absolute gem! She was patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the entire process. She guided us step-by-step, making the art of traditional Portuguese tile painting feel approachable and so much fun, even for complete beginners like me. We left with beautiful handmade tiles and unforgettable memories. If you’re visiting Porto and want an authentic, relaxing, and creative cultural experience, this is an absolute must-do. Highly recommend!
This was so much fun! I needed time just to relax after walking the Camino and this was perfect. I met some lovely people, created a hand made tile and learned some history of Portuguese tile making. The hostess was very sweet, passionate about her art and very helpful.
