Reis door de tijd bij het São Bento Station, een architectonisch meesterwerk versierd met ingewikkeld tegelwerk van Jorge Colaço, onthuld in 1916. Terwijl je door het station dwaalt, laat je je fantasie de vrije loop terwijl je je verbindt met eeuwenlange verhalen die in de muren zijn geweven en je uitnodigen om een reis door het verleden te maken.
Maak een ontspannen wandeling langs de Rua de Santa Catarina, bekend als het hart van Porto, waar u de ware geest van de stad zult ervaren. This was the best tour of the trip. Catarina has excellent taste and her choices of wine and matching food were outstanding. She was very accommodating to us and altered the trip based on our interests (we spent more time in the market trying different things than what was strictly on the tour and bought other items than what we had tried but she had wonderful recommendations for us). She had tables reserved ahead of time and was pleasant to speak with. Every extra step she could take, she did. If I can recommend doing anything in Portugal, I recommend this tour. It was by far the highlight, the best wine and the best food on the trip. The only regret we have is that we didn’t do it earlier!
Catarina is an excellent host. Guided me to outstanding eats and drinks even tho our day was somewhat disrupted by Porto’s winning soccer parade! She adjusted the tour on the spot. Highly recommend.
Our tour guide, Catarina, was informative, kind and an expert in the wine and food experience. We enjoyed her engaging, positive, personality and by the end of our time together, we felt that we made a new friend. She brought us to several quaint restaurants, where she clearly knew the owners and staff well. She even shared some family recipes with us. What a wonderful experience. This was the best food and wine tour we've ever done, and that says A LOT! We travel all over the world and do food tours everywhere we go and Catarina tops them all. Within 10 minutes of meeting Catarina, we felt like we had met an old friend and she just has the best vibe about her. She's clearly very passionate about food, wine and all things Portugal! And she knows her stuff. Being a wine professional myself, I'm quite critical on these sorts of tours, but Catarina didn't disappoint us once. Her pairings were clearly well thought out, carefully curated and were absolutely spot on. She took us to some great places that I think most tourists would just walk past and not give a second glance. Catarina has put so much time and effort into her tour, and it shows. She has thought of all the details. Absolutely book this tour you won't regret it. Under no circumstances should you eat ANYTHING before this tour, because you will be stuffed to the brim by the end!!!

Our tour with Catarina was hands down my favorite experience of a 16 day trip across Portugal, Spain and Italy. Part history tour (everything from the history of the hand painted tiles to Harry Potter), part food and wine tour, you're in great hands with Catarina! She knows the ins and outs of the best local places, from historic restaurants to modern seafood places. Definitely come hungry - from the first huge "tour of Portugal" meat and cheese board (and the best sardines!), to the "McDonalds" of Portugal (don't worry, there's not a Big Mac in sight, only a delicious pork sandwich and beer), to fresh caught seafood and pastries made with centuries old family recipes, you will NOT be disappointed. She will definitely guide you off the beaten path and towards locally owned and operated restaurants, market stands, bakeries and more with some of the best food we had on our trip (all in the same day, no less!). She was a wealth of information on restaurants and treats (like the famous eclair) we should try during the rest of our stay as well as experiences at the Port Houses across the river. We highly recommend this tour if you're visiting Porto!
