In tegenstelling tot typische toeristische ervaringen leidt onze zorgvuldig samengestelde tour je naar lokale pareltjes, wat een meeslepend culinair avontuur garandeert. We geven prioriteit aan het bezoeken van traditionele etablissementen die door de lokale bevolking worden bezocht, waar u de echte smaak van authentieke gerechten kunt proeven. Een van de hoogtepunten van dit avontuur is de mogelijkheid om te genieten van een overheerlijk Portugees genot: de 'Bifana'. Dit hartige broodje, gevuld met dun gesneden gemarineerd varkensvlees, is een authentieke smaak van de Portugese cultuur. Gecombineerd met een fris glas lokaal Portugees bier is het een culinaire reis die u betoverd zal achterlaten. Laat ons u kennis laten maken met de verborgen schatten van restaurants!
Salada de bacalhau e grão is een Portugese gezouten kabeljauw- en kikkererwtensalade, waarin zachte kikkererwten, gezouten kabeljauwvlokken, ui en gekookt ei worden gecombineerd. Het is een verfrissend en eiwitrijk gerecht, aangekleed met olijfolie en citroensap, dat de authentieke smaken van de Portugese keuken laat zien. Het wordt geserveerd met een glas wijn of bier. Proef de onweerstaanbare 'Pica-Pau.' Dit gerecht, bestaande uit malse, hapklare stukjes gekruid rund- of varkensvlees, is een waar Portugees culinair juweeltje. Had a wonderfully personal tour with a delightful young woman. As the season just is warming up, fortunately for us, no one else was scheduled to attend. Knowledgeable, personable guide, Lina, took us to several spots we would not have found on our own and shared historical background. The tour was good. We liked all stops and except the cod one . I think we could have gone to a better bar/restaurant . The guy Lina was a lovely girl . She was very friendly

Our tour guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and we learned a lot from her. The reason for my middling review is that my wife and I were the only people on the tour, and the main reason we signed up for it is to meet and hang out with other travelers. I feel like I should have been contacted in advance, informed that we would be the only people on the tour, and then asked if we still wanted to do it. Instead we were kind of taken aback. We enjoyed it but it was not the experience we were hoping for.

Regarding the group size, unfortunately that day there were other participants booked, but they canceled only a few minutes before the tour started, which was completely outside of our control. Our tours operate with a minimum of two people, and group sizes naturally vary: sometimes there are 10 people, sometimes 6, and sometimes only 2. We never advertise guaranteed large groups or a social meetup experience. In fact, many guests find it special to enjoy a more private and personalized tour. We truly believe we delivered an excellent experience, so receiving a lower rating for something beyond our control feels unfair. Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback and are glad you still enjoyed the tour.
It is an interesting experience with good Portuguese food in small restaurants, where locals stop and eat. Also wine is very good. However, Chaima as a guide lacked knowledge about the food, tradition and history. I expected much more.
