You can exchange the booked tickets for admission tickets in front of the boats, you see all the bridges, on board you have the option to order something to drink, a restroom is available on the boat
It was very hot and little shade except by the river.Having said that we still had a good time.
A nice cruise down the river. I recommend sitting in front to have an unobstructed view of the coast.

On June 21, I purchased a ticket and waited for nearly two hours for the boat. However, I later learned from the police that the boat service was not operating because of the air show. I do not understand why tickets were still being sold when the service had been suspended. As a result, I wasted a considerable amount of time and experienced significant inconvenience. I am leaving Porto on the morning of June 22 and therefore will not have another opportunity to take the cruise. For this reaso
Once again we are sorry for the inconvenience and I confirm we did refund your ticket on the day you asked for it. That day the river was "closed" to all cruises due to a city event, but unfortunately the sales were not blocked (specifically on this platform) by mistake.
Make sure you check in with the right boat. Views from the river are great and the cruise was the perfect length of time

We cruised the 6 decks. We bought the tickets on site for the boat "Pirates" and paid in cash. In all advertisements and information boards at departure, it is displayed that an audio guide is present on the boat. We ask for confirmation, the person tells us "yes, yes there is an audio guide in French! What a disappointment!!!! First the boat goes up the Douro to go to the 1st of 6 decks. We saw it from a distance and didn’t even go under it... then as we passed under the other bridges, no comments... we ask the pilot if it is possible to have the audio guide and there he answers that it does not work... On the way back to the dock, we ask for explanations that we will never have... we also ask for a commercial gesture, the person offers us a simple little port mignonette stayed all day in full sun... and refuses any other compensation. A real tourist arnarque with false advertising...
Bonjour Monsieur, J'espère que vous allez bien. Nous sommes vraiment désolés que l'audioguide n'ait pas fonctionné pendant votre croisière ; il y a manifestement eu des problèmes techniques. Cependant, nous proposons bien l'audioguide en 5 langues différentes, dont le français, ce qui ne constitue pas une publicité mensongère. Comme vous le savez certainement, il arrive parfois que des appareils tombent en panne et doivent être réparés ou remplacés, ce qui est exactement ce qui s'est passé. Si notre vendeur vous a dit qu'il fonctionnait, c'est parce qu'il n'a cessé de fonctionner que pendant votre croisière, ce qui est bien sûr très regrettable mais aussi imprévisible. Ce que vous mentionnez concernant le fait de ne pas passer sous le premier pont correspond à l'itinéraire habituel de la croisière, identique pour toutes les compagnies. Vous avez donc profité d'une belle croisière classique sous les ponts. Comme l'audioguide ne fonctionnait pas (ce que, si je peux me permettre, toutes les compagnies ne proposent pas), nous vous avons offert une mini-bouteille de porto – qui est conservée à l'intérieur de notre comptoir de vente, à l'abri du soleil. Je suis désolé si vous n'avez pas apprécié ce geste.
Easy to book and find and more intimate than the bigger boats
We finished our Sandemans tour and decided to book the tour, there are numerous companies offering tours all the same price = E18 so we opted for one that did the time we wanted . I scanned the QR code for commentary which was also provided in written form though I did struggle initially to figure out where I was and what was being commented on! Eventually audio commentary in a bit more detail was also provided via speakers but we struggled to hear what was being said. All in all it was around 45 mins, something to pass the time and learn a little. No onboard snacks available but there was a toilet.
We did this trip on 28 December. Based on the reviews we expected a guide with commentary on the history of the city especially the bridges. There was no guide or information provided.

My colleagues informed me that there were some issues with the speakers, which are now completely resolved! I am very sorry for the inconvenience and I hope you enjoyed your cruise nonetheless. :)
