Ontdek Aveiro, het “Venetië van Portugal”, tijdens een ontspannen dag vol kustlandschappen, historische kanalen en culturele hoogtepunten. Deze tour neemt je mee van de iconische gestreepte huizen van de Costa Nova naar de elegante grachten van Aveiro, waar je zult genieten van een traditionele Moliceiro boottocht, een kleine begeleide wandeltocht en vrije tijd om te genieten van de lokale keuken of wat sightseeing op eigen houtje. De dag wordt afgesloten met een bezoek aan de prachtig betegelde kerk van Válega en de kustkapel van Senhor da Pedra. De kerk van Válega valt op door haar buitenkant die volledig bedekt is met traditionele azulejo's, die religieuze en historische scènes uitbeelden.

Moliceiro Boottocht (Aveiro)
Geniet na de cruise van een begeleide wandeltocht door het historische centrum van Aveiro, langs art nouveau-gebouwen, de vismarkt, de kanalen en de kathedraal van Aveiro. Leer meer over het visserij- en zouthandelserfgoed van de stad en heb wat vrije tijd om op eigen houtje te verkennen.
Korte stop om de prachtige azulejo-tegelpanelen te bewonderen die het historische treinstation versieren en scènes van de lokale cultuur en tradities illustreren.
Verlaat Aveiro richting het noorden richting de parochie van Válega.
Bezoek de kerk van Válega, bekend om zijn prachtige met azulejo bedekte buitenkant en interieur. Ongeveer 30 minuten om deze unieke bezienswaardigheid te verkennen en te bewonderen.
Bezoek de prachtige 17e-eeuwse kapel aan zee gebouwd op de rotsen met uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan. Tijd om te genieten van het dramatische kustlandschap en onvergetelijke foto's te maken.

Carlos Chavez was an excellent guide — relaxed, polite, friendly, and always providing well‑chosen, informative insights. He handled questions with ease and also drove our comfortable minibus safely throughout the day. With only eight participants, the tour felt personal and well‑paced. The itinerary was varied and perfectly timed: a pleasant stop in Costa Nova, a boat ride and free time in Aveiro, the beautifully painted Igreja Matriz de Santa Maria de Válega, and the stunning beach with the Capela do Senhor da Pedra. Aveiro may be quite touristy and not the most exciting on its own, but in combination with the other highlights, the day was thoroughly enjoyable. Carlos’s guidance made it a great experience overall.

We took the excursion with Susana. We liked Costa Nova and Barra a lot; the little striped houses are almost as pretty as in the Instagram photos. We found Aveiro charming, and the monastery of Roca is worth it. We loved the different stops, but the highlight was the guide. Susana was charming, dynamic, and fun. She created a great atmosphere in the group and explained all the interesting points of the visit with precision. Both the activity and the guide are highly recommended.

He translated back and forth between English and Spanish and did it very efficiently. Would recommend him as a guide. Michael our driver always kept the bus parked and waiting in a shaded area for us.
