Buurten zoals East Bayside in Portland zitten boordevol ambachtelijke drankopties voor elke smaak, van de kleine batch biologische rum van Three of Strong tot wijnen van Blue Lobster Urban Winery die worden gemengd met wilde bosbessen uit Maine en appels uit lokale boomgaarden. It's nice to have a small group for this tour. There was plenty of time at each location to socialize and make new friends. We've been on other beer tours and the guides have been more entertaining and informative than this one. It also appeared that the last brewery was not prepared for our group of 9. We did get generous samples and a bottle of water after the second stop but no snack, contrary to the tour description. With 22 breweries in the area, we thought we'd see more of Portland but two of the three breweries were just a block from each other.
This tour was interesting and the tour guide was knowledgeable about the area and history of each brewery we visited. It was a nice small group experience.

See a bit of city and learn some facts. Find all the breweries in the old port area. Great to do right away on your trip for logistics and beer.
