Met meer dan 1000 voedselkarren door de hele stad, laten we je meenemen naar enkele van de beste en proeven van het heerlijke eten dat Portland een echte foodie bestemming maakt. Tijdens deze wandeltocht ontdek je wereldwijde gerechten, les je je dorst met lekkere drankjes en leer je leuke geschiedenis in deze kleurrijke buurt. Wij denken graag dat dit de perfecte manier is om het eigenzinnige Portland te ontdekken, te eten waar de lokale bevolking eet en plezier te hebben! Hoogtepunten van de tour : - Probeer stevige porties eten en drinken uit 5 - 7 verschillende voedselkarren. Je krijgt meer dan een volledige maaltijd! - Leer alles over Portland food winkelwagen cultuur. (We noemen ze niet voor niets vrachtwagens.) - Probeer een selectie van diverse gerechten zoals Slavische, Mexicaanse, Beierse en Birmaanse lekkernijen. - Ontdek Portland's historische, off-the-beaten-path Eastside wijk om de lokale street art te bekijken.

Sluit je aan bij Los Plate Food Tours voor een heerlijk foodie-avontuur door de kleurrijke wijk Central Eastside in Portland. Vanaf hier gaan we naar nog drie locaties waar we in totaal 6-7 verrukkelijke gerechten proberen.
Een van de grootste (en coolste) voedselkarren van Portland bevindt zich op het voormalige terrein van het Oregon Hospital for the Insane. Bereid je mentaal voor op het proberen van 4 waanzinnig heerlijke gerechten die we met de hand hebben uitgekozen om de diversiteit van onze lokale foodcar-scene te benadrukken.
De Industrial Eastside wijk van Portland ligt op een steenworp afstand van Downtown en wordt geroemd om zijn levendige muurschilderingen, interactieve kunstinstallaties en eigenzinnige geschiedenis.
Een van onze favoriete patio's in Portland, deze levendige food winkelwagen pod is de thuisbasis van een mix van opvallende karren en een bekende lokale bakkerij. We sluiten de middag af met een heerlijk gerecht!

- Dit is een wandeltocht, de totale loopafstand bedraagt ongeveer 1,6 km. Wees bereid om onder alle weersomstandigheden te wandelen. Werkt onder alle weersomstandigheden. Kleed u alstublieft op de juiste manier, inclusief schoenen en paraplu/regenkleding.
- Dit is een rookvrije rondleiding.

This is a very fun experience. Food carts are an important part of Portland's culinary scene, offering cuisine from around the world. Our tour guide, Herb, was fun and full of interesting information. Walking totaled a mile with four stops at carts. The food was excellent and a nice representation of what the food carts have to offer. Highly recommend!
Great food and info on a fascinating side of Portland. There were six separate dishes in different food parks.

Was easy to locate the tour guide, guide Herb was informative being able to link the start of the food carts to current evolved product. Vendors selected were not limited to burgers, chicken fingers or pizza but representative of a wide range of tastes that may not have been the norm. Nothing yucky or offbeat and all palatable. There is walking in some rough patches of concrete but Herb made you aware by pointing them out. Some vendors were unavailable and we were notified of such . The replacements did not disappoint. Easy walking, good food, insightful commentary.

Herb was so informative and had so much information on the carts and the city. The carts we tried were sooo good. I love taking food tours because it allows me to try things I normally wouldn’t try on my own, I was very satisfied. Portions were very good.

We spent a pleasant rainy day (thank you for not canceling due to the weather) with Herb. He educated us on the various cuisines of Portland while serving up fabulous dishes, each made with seasonal ingredients and lots of pride! I appreciated the variation of international fare, (Mexican, Birman, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and American) which gave me a chance to try many items that I would have otherwise overlooked.
