De Port of Leith Distillery is een opmerkelijk nieuw herkenningspunt in de historische whiskywijk Leith in Edinburgh. Dit is de eerste verticale whiskydistilleerderij in het Verenigd Koninkrijk - in feite heeft niemand ooit zoiets gebouwd, waar ook ter wereld! Gedurende 90 minuten hoort u het verhaal van de onwaarschijnlijke oprichting van het bedrijf. Verken de hoogste distilleerderij ter wereld. Vul je eigen miniatuur flesje New Make spirit. Neem plaats in het QC LAB en begrijp het whisky maken als nooit tevoren met een proeverij die je meeneemt door het productieproces en rijpingsproces. Geniet van deze begeleide proeverij van New Make sterke drank, port, sherry en Table Whisky. Alle rondleidingen worden in het Engels gegeven. Gedrukte & QR scripts zijn beschikbaar in het Frans, Duits, Italiaans, Spaans, Chinees Mandarijn & Pools (alleen gedrukt). Het tourscript is ook beschikbaar in zowel braille- als grootdrukformaat.

- Volwassene 18+ £30.00pp
- Kinderen £10.00pp (alleen 7-17 jaar) moeten te allen tijde worden begeleid door een verantwoordelijke volwassene. Om gezondheids- en veiligheidsredenen zijn baby's en kinderen jonger dan 7 jaar NIET toegestaan op de tour.
- Houd er rekening mee dat u door een productiefaciliteit met open roostervloeren reist. Er zijn overal plateaus, maar we raden u aan verstandig schoeisel te dragen - hoge hakken, gekartelde fietsschoenen en open teenschoenen zijn niet toegestaan op de tour.

Simon was a clever, fun, and informative guide! I'm not a big Scotch drinker but their products and partners are excellent. You can tell that the owners and staff are really invested in creating the best drinks/experiences they can.
Had a fantastic experience at this distillery! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The spirits were excellent, with great flavor and quality, and the tasting experience was both fun and informative.
Very interesting and our guide was excellent
The reception at the distillery was super friendly and relaxed. The staff member who did the tour (I think her name was Eve) was also really friendly and her manner was very relaxed. Walking through the distillery from top to bottom was funny and the whole topic was really interesting. The highlight was of course the tasting with delicious samples. Thumbs up!

Excellent tour. Very informative and innovative for this start-up that is changing the codes of traditional distilling while being modern. The scotch whisky is not yet available because it is in the process of being made... start-up to follow
