Begin je reis bij de oorspronkelijke Romeinse poort van Pompeii en herbeleef de uitbarsting van 79 na Christus met een Expert Gids. Bekijk de beroemde gipsafgietsels, verken het Forum en de gerestaureerde Forum-baden en geniet van het uitzicht vanaf de Mercuriustoren. Bezoek het onlangs heropend Huis van de Vettii, wandel langs de Via Stabiana langs iconische huizen en wees getuige van voortdurende opgravingen bij de “Insula van de Kuise Liefhebbers”. Volg je Gids langs de beroemdste monumenten en de monumenten die onlangs zijn ontdekt. Bekijk de archeologen aan het werk.Beweeg verder dan de standaard toeristische sporen om pas heropend schatten te ervaren die zijn goedgekeurd door het Park Ministry. U zult de adembenemende, levendige fresco's in het wereldberoemde Huis van de Vettii en het Huis van Leda en de Zwaan bewonderen. Wandel langs de Via Stabiana om getuige te zijn van voortdurende opgravingen bij de Insula van de Kuisheidsliefhebbers (Insula dei Casti Amanti) en bewonder het ongelooflijke Thermopolium van Regio V – een oude Romeinse streetfoodteller die perfect intact is ontdekt. Je begeleide wandeling omvat een gespecialiseerd bezoek aan het Antiquarium, waar nieuw blootgelegde gipsafgietsels en alledaagse voorwerpen een diep ontroerend kijkje bieden in het dagelijks leven dat in 79 na Christus bevroren was.

- Dit is een 2 uur durende wandeltocht volledig binnen een openlucht archeologische site. Deelnemers lopen over oude Romeinse stenen bestrating, grind en oneffen oppervlakken. Het is niet toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers en wordt aanbevolen voor reizigers met een matige lichamelijke conditie. Comfortabele wandel-/wandelschoenen, water en bescherming tegen de zon (hoed/zonnebrandcrème) worden sterk aanbevolen.
- Om een vlotte ervaring voor alle deelnemers te garanderen, gelieve 15 minuten voor de officiële starttijd van de tour aanwezig te zijn op het aangewezen ontmoetingspunt (Fortuna Village Pompei). Late aankomsten of no-shows kunnen niet worden terugbetaald of verplaatst.
- De rondleiding wordt direct uitgevoerd door een live Gids in de door u gekozen taal geselecteerd bij de kassa (Engels, Spaans, Italiaans)
- Houd er rekening mee dat een live officiële Gids in de Pompeii-ruïnes gegarandeerd is voor taalgroepen met een minimum van 6 deelnemers. Voor groepen van minder dan 6 passagiers wordt de live Gids vervangen door een hoogwaardige interactieve audiogids, en blijft de totale tourprijs hetzelfde.

Booked a small group Pompeii tour more than a month in advance. Confirmed with them at 1:30pm the day before, with positive response and confirmation of meeting location. Notified by them less than 12 hours prior to tour that it was cancelled because not enough people had signed up and that they waited until the last minute hoping for more booking but did not get them. Waiting until the last minute benefits them, not me and left me scrambling to find a tour. They offered to book me on another tour, but then told me that tour was full.

We completely understand how upsetting it is to have your plans disrupted at the last minute, especially when you had carefully booked more than a month in advance and proactively confirmed your tour the afternoon before. Our guide Thomas was superb - which was a blessing ….several weeks before our trip we had booked a small group tour with an archaeologist (cost for two £168.70 ) but were informed the day before that our tour that it was cancelled😒! Viator gave us option of going on this new tour with partial refund or just have a full refund for cancelled trip As we were due to go home a day later , and our trip was based around an in-depth Pompei tour while we still have reasonable mobility ie 31 years after our previous visit - we felt we had no option so agreed and took risk … (Worth mentioning no information as yet re refund amount or payment) Fortunately the group were are with was small ie 12 with a great guide ( Thomas) who was a real expert and gave us a superb tour with real insights to developments since our last visit in 1991. Thoroughly enjoyed tour and agreed with Viator that we would stay on in Pompeii for rest of day - So we ended up with what we planned for after 24 hours of thinking we were going to miss out If Thomas runs future tours for you then Pompeii enthusiasts will get a great experience - as good as an archaeologist Thank you Thomas - you saved our trip 👍😊
