Deborah was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour, letting us go at our own pace. Lunch in Positano was fantastic and Deborah gave us all the time we wanted there. Carmine was a very safe driver. Perfect day.
Alberto was our hilarious and charming driver/guide for our trip from Salerno to Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. To begin with, he and the rest of the team were very communicative in regards to the meeting point and itinerary. He did an excellent job pointing out the highlights at the small towns we saw along the coastline, and explaining why each one was special. We sat in the back of the comfortable van (AC worked great!) and didn't get motion sick. The roads are very serpentine so I think that speaks well to his driving capabilities! Positano had some very narrow roads but he got us there before the worst of the traffic and pointed out some of the best viewpoints and directions to roam during our free time. We then went to Sorrento and had time for a quick bite to eat and took in some very beautiful coastline views. From there we proceeded to Pompeii where Alberto handed us off to Gianluca who took us through the city ruins. He did an excellent job pointing out the highlights in the city, explaining day to day life in ancient Pompeii, and showing us the best views overlooking the city. This tour experience was excellent and very enjoyable, left us wishing for more time to spend in each of the stops along the way. There really is so much to see and do here and one day just isn't enough.
We had such an amazing tour from the start to the finish. Ciro our guide was knowledgeable and very kind and courteous to both us as well as all the attending guests. He truly made us feel welcome to the city and made the tour a memorable experience. Our driver Salvatore was also very kind and welcomed us from the minute we stepped on board. His amazing driving skills allowed all of us to feel safe and gave us the chance to take memorable photos of the beautiful sites. I can’t thank both of these guys enough for making our quick trip to Naples unforgettable. Will definitely recommend this tour to friends and family.
The tour was very smooth , ride was comfortable, our driver alberto was awesome very polite and helpful and our guide at pompeii was also very knowledgeable. The food wqs great and the viwes atbthe restaurant great also
Alberto our driver was simply amazing. Very prompt incommunicative. Very descriptive with information historically as well as what to do and where to go in our free time. The trip to Pompeii was amazing and thank goodness we had a guide as I would never have known where to go as it is massive. The Amalfi coast did not disappoint and the luncheon was delicious and the view was breathtaking.
We had an absolutely wonderful day with Andrea as our tour guide! From the moment we met him, he made us feel less like tourists and more like special guests. It happened to be his birthday, yet he spent the entire day making sure we had the best experience possible. Andrea was knowledgeable, funny, kind, and incredibly helpful. His love for the area and its history made every stop even more meaningful. Exploring Pompeii and all the beautiful sights along the way was unforgettable because of the care and enthusiasm he brought to the tour. A special shout-out to our driver, "Spider-Man," who added so much fun to the day. Andrea and Spider-Man made a fantastic team, and their humor and friendliness made the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. We feel truly blessed to have shared this experience with them. From the moment I booked my day tour to Pompeii and Amalfi, I felt like I made a new friend in Italy. The communications could not have been more clear or proactive. Our guide Andrea texted us on the morning of our tour to say that he made it to our cruise port early if we wanted to get started, our choice. That turned out to be the best choice ever, since Andrea made sure we were the first into the Pompeii ruins that morning, skipping the line and getting to experience the best of Pompeii without crowds. We were a group of 12 with the youngest being a very quizzical 9-year-old boy. Andrea was extremely patient and knowledgeable, sharing his passion for the place. Our private bus driver was Romualdo, but Andrea called him Spider-Man because he made that bus stick to the walls of the tricky Amalfi Coast cliffs. We felt safe and even experienced Spider-Man getting out of the cab to help a semi truck driver get out of a jam. Andrea brought us to the most amazing lunch overlooking the sea, where our group was treated like old friends with plenty of limoncello “presents”. Our tour ended in Amalfi, where Andrea took us away from the crowds and introduced us to his friends who owned the most beautiful shops. My friends on this trip couldn’t thank me enough for finding Mondo Guide!
Our small group arrived early to find our driver, Franco, waiting and ready to go. Because we left early he made time for a stop in Pompeii to visit the Cathedral, which was beautiful. At the Pompeii ruins we were met by our guide, Mafalda, who provided an upbeat and fast-paced tour. Our lunch was at a very nice restaurant overlooking the sea along the Amalfi Coast, and the food, wine, and views were all excellent. Our final stop in Amalfi was scenic, but a bit crowded. Views on the return trip along the coast were fantastic. Overall, the trip was as advertised with a bonus stop in Pompeii. We would tecommend this excursion.
We had an excellent excursion from Salerno to Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii. Roberto our driver picked us up on time at the spot we were provided the day before and he guided us safely and smoothly through the different destinations. the time at each place was unfortunately limited but Positano and Sorrento are not too big and I am certain we didn’t miss much. We would have liked to spend more time in Pompeii but the cruise schedule didn’t allow it. In any case a successful and memorable shore excursion!
Not many reviews however this is through Mondo tours which is a reputable long standing tour company. We had Fabio as a driver and he was wonderful on the winding roads, kept us safe and no one got carsick. He made it very easy for us to find him as he was waiting right outside of our boat.. Murana was our guide at Pompeii and she was a joy to be around. She was very knowledgeable, but also made it fun. The restaurant was absolutely amazing. The pictures do not give it justice. We skipped the Amalfi town as it was crazy busy today and they were willing to work around our wishes.. I would highly recommend. We are a family of four traveling with a 17 and 20 year-old. Suitable for most ages that would be interested in these kinds of activities.
