Ontmoet de meest turbulente tijd in de geschiedenis van Belfast. Ontdek hoe de spanningen ontstonden die leidden tot de uitbarstingen van geweld en terrorisme van de jaren 70. Kom kijken hoe de buren van Belfast hun helden eren in de muurschilderingen van hun buurten. Bezoek de wijken waar alles gebeurde: burgerprotesten, aanvallen tegen burgers en botsingen tussen de IRA en protestantse paramilitaire groepen. We zullen belangrijke plaatsen voor beide partijen van het conflict bezoeken, zoals de Internationale Vredesmuur en de herdenkingstuinen die aan beide kanten zijn gebouwd, om af te sluiten met het vredesproces in Noord-Ierland en het verdwijnen van geweld op straat.

We zullen Divis Tower naderen en het belang van het gebouw als observatiepost tijdens conflicten kennen.
We zullen de betekenis kennen van enkele muurschilderingen van de internationale vredesmuur, gewijd aan de oorzaken waarmee de Republikeinen van Belfast zich identificeren
We vervolgen onze weg langs Falls Road en passeren een herdenkingstuin gewijd aan de leden van de "D" -afdeling van de IRA en stoppen vervolgens onder de muurschildering van Bobby Sands
We vervolgen onze weg door Cupar Way, langs de muur van vrede, waar we onze eigen vredesboodschap kunnen achterlaten vergezeld van onze handtekening
Op Shankill Road zullen we de minder bekende kant van de conflicten benaderen door muurschilderingen te bezoeken die zijn gewijd aan de helden van de buurt of het gedenkteken voor de onschuldige slachtoffers in de aanval op de Bayardo-pub.

Tour guide was super helpful and knew a lot about both aspects. We had some tough weather but she kept it positive and we ended up learning a lot.
I was with my family and friends (6 people group) in Belfast earlier this week. We decided to hire a private tour with this company and Andrés attended us. Andres is a machine. Great knowledgeable about the history and idiosyncrasies of not only Belfast but Northern Ireland as a whole. As you travel with him you are taking a dive into the streets, characters, legends and stories of this beautiful and long-suffering city. He tells it all hard without becoming tedious. Delve in on request and also gave us some luxury stops in unforgettable pubs and cafes that you would skip if you went on your own. Daiji ( David) was really good guide, we really enjoyed the tour although initially it was booked in Spanish-speaking but the guide had an inconvenience and they suggested to us join the English-speaking one. 💯
