Pisa naar Lucca : Zelfstandige rit over het Puccini-pad

Deze tour verbindt twee van de meest iconische steden van Toscane via een schilderachtige route die natuur, cultuur en geschiedenis combineert. Vanaf Pisa volg je fietspaden en rustige wegen langs de Serchio rivier naar Lucca. Rijd over de beroemde Renaissancemuren, verken het charmante historische centrum en ontdek bezienswaardigheden zoals Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, de Guinigi-toren en de Via Fillungo. Maak uw bezoek compleet door enkele van Lucca's heerlijke lokale specialiteiten te proeven. Tour afstand : ongeveer 28 km naar Lucca en 28 km terug naar Pisa. Als alternatief kunt u met de regionale trein terug naar Pisa, waarbij u uw fiets meeneemt (er geldt een fietstoeslag naast het treinkaartje). Fiets drop-off in Lucca is beschikbaar voor een extra vergoeding (vraag bij de fietsverhuur voor details).

Het Medicijnaquaduct : Een reis door de tijd Het Medicean Aquaduct is een prachtig meesterwerk van 16e-eeuwse techniek dat zich uitstrekt over meer dan 6 kilometer van de heuvels van San Giuliano Terme recht in het hart van Pisa. In opdracht van de groothertog van Toscane creëren de 900+ majestueuze bakstenen bogen een betoverende visuele lijn over het Toscaanse platteland.
San Giuliano Terme : De toegangspoort tot wellness en geschiedenis San Giuliano Terme ligt aan de voet van de Monti Pisani en is een charmant kuuroord dat al sinds de Romeinse tijd bekend staat om zijn geneeskrachtige thermale wateren. Beroemd als een prestigieus toevluchtsoord voor Europese royalty's en dichters als Shelley en Byron tijdens de 18e eeuw, blijft het een juweel van ontspanning en elegantie.
Het Puccini-fietspad : een symfonie van natuur en muziek Vernoemd naar de legendarische operacomponist Giacomo Puccini, volgt dit betoverende fietspad de Serchio-rivier, die de historische muren van Lucca verbindt. Het is een vlakke, gemakkelijke en ongelooflijk schilderachtige route die je onderdompelt in de landschappen die wereldberoemde opera's zoals Tosca en Madama Butterfly inspireerden.

Excellent bike rental, staff are helpful and friendly in finding the right bikes and routes! Great value for money. Helmets are included for free for kids, they have clip on kids bikes as well as electric bikes for bigger kids. Highly recommend as part of your visit to Pisa.

It was a very easy and safe rental process. We also arranged a bicycle for our daughter. We rode from the city center to Pisa Marina. We had no problems with the bikes at all. It was a comfortable ride.

Despite the heat we were able to get to know Pisa center just fine. Thanks to the good bikes from Smile&Ride. Nice tour, quiet streets, squares and the busy square with the sloping tower. Recommended!

I paid for one experience and they made me do another one because of the heat. It's not that I disliked it, but I was disappointed because I expected to arrive at a place that I will have to do differently.
