Deze tour verbindt twee iconische Toscaanse kunststeden via een schilderachtige en evenwichtige route die natuur, cultuur en stadsverkenning combineert. Vanaf Pisa geniet u van een route die fietspaden en verkeersluwe wegen langs de Serchio volgt. Terwijl u door het Serchio River Park rijdt, ervaart u rustige landschappen en de sfeer van de Puccini Trail, verbonden met plaatsen die de componist inspireerden. Aangekomen in Lucca bereikt u de beroemde historische muren van de stad. Fietsen op de top van de Muren van Lucca is een van de hoogtepunten van de tour en biedt een unieke manier om de stad van bovenaf te zien. Lucca is een stad van kunst, muziek, geschiedenis en eten. Verken de Guinigi-toren met zijn tuin op het dak, blader door de winkels langs de Via Fillungo en bezoek Piazza dell'Anfiteatro en Piazza Napoleone. Mis lokale specialiteiten zoals cecina, necci met ricotta en buccellato niet. Op verzoek, tegen een toeslag, kunt u de fiets in Lucca achterlaten en met de trein teruggaan naar Pisa.

Het Medicijnaquaduct : Een reis door de tijd Het Medicean Aquaduct is een prachtig meesterwerk van 16e-eeuwse techniek dat zich uitstrekt over meer dan 6 kilometer van de heuvels van San Giuliano Terme recht in het hart van Pisa. In opdracht van de groothertog van Toscane creëren de 900+ majestueuze bakstenen bogen een betoverende visuele lijn over het Toscaanse platteland.
San Giuliano Terme : De toegangspoort tot wellness en geschiedenis San Giuliano Terme ligt aan de voet van de Monti Pisani en is een charmant kuuroord dat al sinds de Romeinse tijd bekend staat om zijn geneeskrachtige thermale wateren. Beroemd als een prestigieus toevluchtsoord voor Europese royalty's en dichters als Shelley en Byron tijdens de 18e eeuw, blijft het een juweel van ontspanning en elegantie.
Het Puccini-fietspad : een symfonie van natuur en muziek Vernoemd naar de legendarische operacomponist Giacomo Puccini, volgt dit betoverende fietspad de Serchio-rivier, die de historische muren van Lucca verbindt. Het is een vlakke, gemakkelijke en ongelooflijk schilderachtige route die je onderdompelt in de landschappen die wereldberoemde opera's zoals Tosca en Madama Butterfly inspireerden.

We used Google maps , hired bikes from Lucca, enjoyed the trails and the roads. There were 5 of us. Two on acoustic bikes, three on E-bikes. The trails are great, on the roads some car drivers not so great (we rode in single file) but overall definitely recommend cycling to and from Lucca-Pisa. Screen shots of my Strava routes here
We don't use google maps for our customers, but we give a different App with our own tested itinerary. We are located in Pisa and not in Lucca, we have a suspect that probably you didn't take the bikes from us!

Excellent service, came from SF and rented a bike to go to the beach. Worked out very well. Helmet and phone holder were extra. No complaints

Rented a bike from Smile & Ride and cycled from Pisa to Lucca. The whole experience was excellent. The bike was in great condition, comfortable, and perfect for the ride. The staff were friendly, helpful, and gave useful advice for the route. The cycle path between Pisa and Lucca is beautiful and easy to follow.
