Koper, een belangrijke Europese haven en de grootste stad van de Sloveense kust. Je gids haalt je op bij het afgesproken startpunt in Koper, Slovenië - hotel, cruiseterminal, busstation, treinstation etc. (neem na de boeking contact met ons op zodat de juiste regelingen kunnen worden getroffen).
Piran is een van de oudste en meest pittoreske stadjes in Slovenië, rijk aan geschiedenis en cultuur. Bijna 500 jaar Venetiaanse invloed hebben het een unieke en tijdloze charme gegeven. Het culturele erfgoed beperkt zich niet tot musea - architectonische en artistieke pareltjes maken deel uit van het dagelijks leven en zijn overal te zien, van het elegante centrale plein tot de smalle kronkelende straatjes en de boulevard.
Giuseppe Tartini, de wereldberoemde componist en violist geboren en getogen in Piran, drukte een blijvende stempel op de stad. Zijn bronzen beeld staat nu trots op het centrale plein, naast Tartini’s huis, waar bezoekers een van zijn violen kunnen bewonderen. Het Tartiniplein wordt omringd door indrukwekkende gebouwen, waaronder het rijk versierde Gemeentepaleis, het Tartinitheater, het Maritiem Museum, het Aquarium, het Maritiem Biologisch Station, het Barokhuis en het Apolloniopaleis. Met uitzicht op de stad vanaf de heuveltop is de kerk van Saint George, de grootste en belangrijkste kerk in Piran, met een prachtig uitzicht op de zee en de kustlijn. De middeleeuwse muur van de stad, smalle kronkelende straatjes, vissersnetten en compacte huizen die de heuvel beklimmen, combineren allemaal met de glinsterende Adriatische Zee om het gevoel te creëren in een schilderij te stappen.
We zullen ook genieten van een panoramische rit door Izola, een pittoreske badplaats die bekend staat om zijn rijke visserserfgoed, schilderachtige kustlijn en charmante oude stad.
We passeren ook Portorož, wat letterlijk 'haven van Roses' betekent - een bekend kust resort beroemd om zijn hotels, casino's en zandstranden. Vlakbij liggen de zoutpannen van Sečovlje, waar nog steeds zout uit de zee wordt gewonnen met traditionele methoden die eeuwen teruggaan.

A very knowledgeable guide gave great insight into the history of Slovenia—Slovenia in general and Piran in particular where he led us to monasteries and churches. We were able to sample local delicacies—great tour!
We had Dean for our tour from a cruise ship. He met us at the Port & drove us along the beautiful coast to Piran. We had a guided tour with lots of information, & then he took us to a small local restaurant for local snacks & wine. We also had some free time before heading back to Koper. Great tour & I would recommend it.

Our tour guide was great! He took us to see Piran, a beautiful old city! The tour included the curch, the squre& the harbour. We had lunch and wine tasting in a quaint cafe. It was apparent that he loves the city.of Piran. A great tour! Thank you!

We were staying in Trieste, but our guide came there to pick us up. We had a wonderful tour. We had beautiful and interesting stops along the way. We discussed the salt pans, enjoyed the towns, stopped for a coffee, and had a little time for shopping. Our guide, Nermin, was very knowledgable and friendly. He was also very attentive to how far my mom could walk before we needed a little break. Once in Koper, we visited the company's office, where they had wine, bread, olive oils cheeses and cured meats for us to try. The samples were hearty and delicious. They also had a few small items for sale. They did not push us to buy those items, but when we asked about them, they indicated some people have a tour and no extra time for shopping, so they like to offer a few small souvenirs. I thought this was an awesome idea. It was really an excellent tour and I'd highly recommend booking with Koper Trips.
The guide gave very little dialogue about the area. With other guides we learn a lot, such as history, culture, geography and more. While the coast line was very attractive and worth seeing, The guide was a big disappointment.
Guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our group really enjoyed the tour of salt fields and small towns. Coffee break by the beach was fabulous.
